This audiobook can help prevent teen suicides.

Teenagers need all the help they can get. They are so often swept up in mass behavior that they don't consider the impact their behavior or comments on social media have on other teens. When everyone is laughing at a person, it takes guts to walk away or stick up for the targeted teen. This audiobook does a great job of explaining in a down-to-earth manner the difference between sympathy, empathy, and pity and how each of these plays a role in "group" actions toward another teen. A great analogy about thinking through what you say before you say it, like putting water through a filter before you drink it. It tells you how and why to think for yourself, don't assume, and take action on your own to make a difference. Stereotypes, prejudice, and biases affect your behavior if left unchecked. To me, the most important message is that each individual teen is important and can affect positive changes and maybe even save someone's life by what they say, don't say, or do.

Why wait til your 30’s for self-help?

We can all remember a time when our shyness and insecurities caused us what seemed like insurmountable challenges. Welp, a bunch of these issues carry over into adulthood for most of us! And it gets tougher when you see your own family run into these challenges too. However, thank the lord that we live in a time where so much wonderful information is freely available for us to benefit from, and Kristen Taylor’s ‘Master Social Skills for Teens’ is right on the mark with said beneficial information! She really knocks it out of the park with methods for developing self-confidence, defeating the dreaded shyness, and even gives the listener the awesome and unique “B.R.A.V.E.R. You approach”–a method I had NEVER heard of until now. This is super important listening for your young ones. Great stuff for parents to have their families listening to and absorbing! Don’t have them start on the self-help stuff in their 20s and 30s like everyone else LOL, why not have them start working on themselves now?!

Building Confidence Together

My daughter was having difficulty feeling confident around others, so we decided to listen to this book together. As we listened, we learned about the BRAVER You approach and discussed ways to overcome nervousness and embrace her uniqueness. One afternoon, as we practiced assertiveness and setting boundaries, I saw a noticeable improvement in my daughter's confidence. She began to believe in herself more and was able to express her thoughts and feelings assertively. This book not only helped her develop essential social skills but also strengthened our bond as we got through the challenges together. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

A B.R.A.V.E.R. You!

In this beautifully produced audiobook, Kristen Taylor reveals how teenagers can master social skills and the struggles of being a teen, as well as forge lifelong friendships.

What sets this book apart is Kristen's warmth and compassionate tone as well her unique 6 step B.R.A.V.E.R. approach, which I found to be an extremely creative and memorable acronym which details a step by step approach to conquer insecurities and own your identity and confidence. She takes it further by explaining how teens can navigate the unique challenges of modern life, like social media and the digital world, and she explains exactly what it takes to create authentic, lasting relationships with people who understand and appreciate the real you.

Whether you're a teen struggling with the social struggles of teen life or a well meaning parent who wants to understand exactly what your teen is going through, this is the perfect guide. Highly Recommend!
