Publisher's summary

Twenty years ago I had the best night of my life. He was a musician passing through town and I was the naive college student who fell for his charm. We talked for hours, he made my body come alive, and in the early morning when he left, he promised to call.

Spoiler alert. He never did.

Wilder was the first man to show me fairytales or happily ever afters don’t exist. Every man I’ve loved since has only confirmed it.

I’m tired of giving my heart away and being met with disappointment. I need a break from everything. Which is how I end up in the Arizona mountains on a two week vacation.

The last person I expect to see in this small town is him.

Wilder.

It doesn’t matter that decades have passed or that his face is devoid of the smile burned into my memory, I’d recognize this man anywhere.

Only, he doesn’t remember me. Not when he’s kind of an ass, and not when he follows me out to my car to apologize, and especially not when he offers to take me to dinner.

I should say no. Hell, I should tell him to get lost. But instead, I give him my number . . . along with a fake name. There’s no harm in having a little fun. Besides, it’s not as if I’m going to fall in love. Only a fool would make that mistake twice.

Wild Love is a one night stand, missed connections, second chance romance written as a modern twist on the classic Cinderella fairytale and features a couple in their forties finding love in a small town. Listeners can enjoy Wild Love as a standalone, or they can begin with Wild Hearts, Ryan and Val's story.

First and definitely not last Kacey Shea book!

I one-clicked this title because I'm a huge fan of Maxine Mitchell. I'd nit read a book by Kacey Shea, nor listened to one Robert Hatchet narrated.
Loved the story.
LOVED the narration.
You could knock me over with a feather once I heard Robert sing.

Wild over Wild

ALC Review: After an incredible night together, Simone was crushed that Wild never called. Time jump over 20 years, and so much has changed. Wild who is still grasping at a music career, but has to return home for his sick cousin. Simone is a cancer survivor, who is now forced to take s vacation at her bosses cabin in Wilder Valley. What are the odds she gets lost and wonders in a hardware store, and now is face to face with Wild after all these years. There is so much to this story. I felt so bad for Wild and all he was dealing with. And let’s just say it’s a lot. And there is s big reveal you don’t see coming. I love the chemistry between the two. I was fortunate enough to get to listen to the audiobook. I knew Maxine Mitchell and Robert Hatchet were perfect for these characters. Maxine is always phenomenal but she captured Simone’s vulnerable but strong side. Robert was a perfect Wild, all broody and grumpy.
Thank you Kacey Shea for this ALC.

Absolutely perfect

I absolutely loved this audiobook. The male narrator is new to me but I must say he’s fantastic. Normally when someone sings in a book I have e to skip it but I didn’t with this one. The story was perfection and beautiful. 5 out of 5!

Second chance for love

A chance meeting and instant sparks put Wild and Simone on a journey toward their forever.

When Wild is playing a gig and Simone spots him they instantly have a spark that needs to be ignited. They spend that one night together then go their separate ways with Wild promising to call her. That never happens and life goes on for both of them. When years later they are put back together it seems to be meant to be, that is until secrets start to surface and there are hurts to get past.

My heart broke for Simone as life dealt her a raw deal and the same for Wild so I was rooting for them to find their happily ever after. The other characters in this story are great. They are from the previous books so it was great to catch up with them too. There is some heartbreak in this story so it isn't all love and roses but it is so well written.

Robert Hatcher and Maxine Mitchell were fantastic in narrating this book. I loved listening to both of them but especially Robert as he showed off his musical talent as well. This book is a standalone even though it is part of a series. I recommend this book and hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Beautiful second chance romance!

Wild and Simone's second chance romance is beautiful, poignant, and completely captivating. They first meet when Wild is trying to make it with his band, and Simone is a college student. They have an instant connection, and they spend a passionate night together. Neither want to say goodbye, but promises are made to call as Wild leaves to get back on the road. But the call never happens.... Now, twenty years later, they have both lived very different lives than what they had planned. When Simone needs a vacation, her boss offers up her family cabin, and Simone takes her up on it. Wild is called home to help his cousin run his hardware store when he falls ill. When Simone walks into the store needing directions, the course of both their lives is forever changed, with a twist. Wild and Simone spend time together, getting to know who they are today. They never forgot the other, and the bond they shared, thinking was gone, begins to reweave itself. They help each other heal from each of their past trauma to become stronger and whole. But there are secrets between them, and when they are revealed, betrayal breaks both their hearts. Will their fragile new bond be strong enough to fight for what they lost the first time? I absolutely loved this overwhelmingly emotional journey about relationships, family, and love. Wild and Simone are wonderfully flawed characters who were so perfect for each other, especially the second time around. This is a breathtaking tale of loyalty and betrayal, of love and heartbreak, and of hope and healing. I loved every moment of this beautiful, raw, and emotional journey.
Narrators Robert Hatchet and Maxine Mitchell are superb storytellers! They embodied these characters perfectly, bringing them to life so clearly. Their ability to convey such emotion from the dramatic to the funny, from panic to passion, and all the sweet moments in between was exquisite. They helped to make this epic love story even more stunning!

Makes you fall fast and hard

Wilder and Simone's romance makes you fall fast and hard and then tugs fiercely on your heartstrings as you try to stay afloat in a gigantic ocean of emotion. Honestly, this book cut very close to the bone on multiple personal levels for me, and that made everything all that more intense. From sighs to swoon, and from smiles to tears, this powerfully emotional and heartachingly poignant romance takes you on one epically moving journey that will linger with you long after it has ended. The narrator's voices fit the characters really well and I found them pleasing to listen to. Their performances were excellent and that made getting swept up into this book easy.

Wow!

I loved this story so much! This was an emotional rollercoaster I laughed and cried so much! I fell in love with all of these characters. This was not what I was expected when I was given this book but I couldn’t get enough. The beginning of this story was perfect. I loved the way they first met. It was sweet and innocent and oh so perfect. These two have amazing chemistry. You really feel for Wild and everything that he goes through.
The narration was amazing! Maxine Mitchell is one narrator that I look up by name. She is absolutely amazing and really brought the emotion to Simone. This was a first for me by Robert Hatchett and he did not disappoint! He brought Wilds Grumpy Broody side to life and all the emotion that came with his character! He was amazing and I will be looking for more of him. Also loved the songs in this too and I loved that they had someone sing them I really wish this was done more because it adds more to the audio.

A fantastic performance by both narrators! So emotional!

This is book #3 in Wilder Valley Series that follows The Wilder Siblings. Each story is set as a stand alone and can be read with reading the others. I had not read the first 2 in the series and still enjoyed this story immensely

***I listened to this story via audiobook. The Narrators are Maxine Mitchell and Robert Hatchett. Both did an incredible job with the narration and truly brought the emotion to this very heart wrenching story. the singing in the book...Yes there are 2 songs...Very well done and these also brought a tear to my eyes...

Wild love focuses on Tim, or Wild to his siblings and Simone. They meet as young adults for one night of passion and promise to keep in touch. When Simone and Wild don't hear back from the other, they go their separate ways tho neither forgets their one night together. Years later they meet back in Wilders home town when Simone goes there for vacation. The caveat is that Wilder doesn't recognize Simone. They begin a passionate affair but Simone isn't honest and doesn't tell Wild who she is. As the days pass and they become closer. Simone is scared to death that when she does tell Wild, she will lose him forever.

First off...Let me say how much I enjoyed this emotional, rollercoaster of a story. So many things happen and the feelings through the story ranged from giggling happiness, to sobbing heartbreak. The growth of Wild and Simones relationship is a fast paced story. Their love shows through the narration and I truly fell in love with Kacey Shae's writing. The secondary story of Wild and his Cousin broke me in this book. Their relationship was such a deep bond....I truly was sobbing at the end. I will not say more but just go read this story. The side characters bring a true depth to this book. If you love second chances, secrets, family bonds and a beautifully written HEA, go pick this one up. I loved it so much and it will be in my thoughts for a long while.....

My first Kacey Shea book but not for last....

This book pulled in my heartstrings, please listen to the trigger warnings before continuing because this book hit me with all of the feelings and emotions. Maxine Mitchell and Robert Hatchett's narration was amazing!! I was so engrossed with the book that I finished it all in one day. Need to go back and listen to the first two books in the Wilder Valley series.

P.S. I was so hyped to hear Robert Hatchet singing.
