Love the story but….

Listen I already knew I would love this book cause I’ve read it. So when the audible came out of course I had to get it. So I love the story but I’m not a fan of the female narrator. Idk what it was about her voice but it wasn’t what I imagined Ava to sound like.

SO FREAKING GOOD

oh my goodness. i don’t even know if i’m going to be able to put into words how much i loved this book. ava and alex’s relationship had my emotions all over the place. i love a brother’s best friend romance. there were specific things that ana wrote about in chinese culture that really resonated with me. i am a chinese adoptee who didn’t grow up with asian parents. and being able to read about things i knew that were common in asian culture made me feel so seen and connected in that way. i also really appreciated the chinese/asian representation in this book. it may seem small, but it’s so cool to fall in love with a character/book that “looks like me”. ana’s writing was emotional and hit the heart in all the right places. i am so excited to read the rest of the series. 💙

Honestly

The story was good but the female narrator was sort of cringe. Which is a bummer cause nothing ruins an audio book more than bad narration.

It’s nice but, there’s a but…

Overall the story is actually nice BIT there was a looooot of repetition and inner monologues that I 🙄 muttering I KNOW!!!

FMC was great until somewhere closer to the end where of course there’s got to be a silly push and pull knowing they’re going to cave, so unnecessary if you ask me… parts of the book could have been easily edited out to make for a clean book… it felt like maybe she wants it to sort of read like a movie?

Don’t get me wrong, it was enjoyable sans what I said above… and of course Aiden Snow is a one click buy for me (I am almost never disappointed) and Cindy Kay, new to me held her own… just some of the parts she had to read were too annoying…

I’m obsessed with this series

This book shocked me. I saw so many people talk about this series. I finally picked twisted love up and was hooked. Alex and Ava are something I never expected. The near the end was so interesting. I can’t wait to see where these two end up.

Hearing it was so much better!

I LOVED the Twisted Series. I've read the entire series about three times now, and I absolutely love all of the books. My favourite guy in the entire series however is none other than Mr. Volkov himself, so when I saw that Twisted Love was available as an audiobook I knew I had to get it, and it did not disappoint!

Hearing the story out loud took me into the depths of it in a way that I didn't experience in the book and I really enjoyed every single aspect of it. The actors were so good and the story was phenomenal. I'm looking forward to getting the entire series as audiobooks. Ana never misses!

It's steamy, but choppy

The book was alright, I agree with other reviewers the narrator kinda ruined it for me. She made it seem like Eva was a little girl with all
of the sighs and dreamt voice. Also, what's with whispered Alex. It made him sound like a shy boy not the powerful man he was supposed to.

The worst party for me is the constant chopping of time, there was no consistency. Some day would pass, then a whole 2 month and then out of nowhere it was a full year. idk that was a bit weird.

A little to long

It was a great listen and book, just some of the filler chapters didn’t really have to be included. Made the book just a bit too long.

Could’ve been better

The guy narrator did amazing! The females voice was annoying! Why did she whisper? After getting over that this book was just ok for me
