From a leading pediatric sleep physician comes a revolutionary program that will have everyone in the house sleeping through the night. When Dr. Craig Canapari became a father, he realized that all his years of 36-hour hospital shifts didn't even come close to preparing him for the sleep deprivation that comes with parenthood. The difference is that parents don’t get a break - it’s hard to know if there’s a night of uninterrupted sleep anywhere in the foreseeable future. Sleepless nights for kids mean sleepless nights for the rest of the family....

Publisher's summary
There is no bigger issue for healthy infants than sleeping through the night. In this simple, straightforward book, Suzy Giordano presents her amazingly effective "Limited-Crying Solution" that will get any baby to sleep for twelve hours at night - and three hours in the day - by the age of twelve weeks old.
Giordano is the mother of five children and one of the most sought-after baby sleep specialists in the country. The Washington Post calls her a baby sleep "guru" and "an underground legend in the Washington area for her ability to teach newborns how to achieve that parenting nirvana: sleeping through the night." Her sleep plan has been tested with singletons, twins, triplets, babies with special needs, and colicky babies - and it has never failed.
Whether you are pregnant, first-time parents, or parents who seek a different path with your second or third child, anyone can benefit from the Baby Coach's popular system of regular feeding times, twelve hours of sleep at night and three hours of sleep during the day, and the peace of mind that comes with taking the parent and child out of a sleep-deprived world.
Please note: This book has also been published under the title The Baby Sleep Solution: A Proven Program to Teach Your Baby to Sleep Twelve Hours a Night.
PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

People are always surprised to hear our 6 month and 26 month have always slept through the night (with the exception of the first months).
They have always been very healthy and my boy is very big.
Most of the negative reviews and the people that talk about malnourishment seem to have not read the book or have an issue comprehending.

life raft!!
This book was just what I needed to feel confident in my approach to sleep training my babies. The author gives you the tools and real life instructions to implement this routine in real time. I think every new mom or parent struggling with not getting enough sleep will truly benefit from this book!! I HIGHLY recommend it to all parents.

I’d rather read this book than listen to it
This is a pretty straight forward book, with practical information. Having it as a book I think would help you revisit information later when needed. The author has a good judgement and common sense and the tips are really good. Hope this will work with my babe.

Not no-cry, not "cry it out", well rounded
I think it is a fault of the "self help" or "training" book written by many authors where the book is padded out by multiple stories and descriptions of how awesome their process is or user testimonies but... I find it really annoying and wastes my time when I just want to learn what the training is.
Fortunately, though about 1/3rd of the book is these things it does get to the point and rounds out a fairly descriptive and broad understanding of what to do. Though she describes it as an alternative to "cry it out" there is mild crying involved, or she warns you that if you try this after the first 5-8 months her method involves a lot of crying. Unfortunately my family is well past that point and so while I found I came away with a better understanding of why our child has trouble sleeping alone this method is not one I could use.

IT WORKS!
Any additional comments?
This method is amazing and it totally works. I started this method and my son was sleeping 12 hours through the night by the time he was 7 weeks old. I did have to allow him to cry it out a bit but he was able to learn to self-soothe! He wakes up smiling and happy and so do I!

WOW!!
I am so amazed by Twelve Hours Sleep by Twelve Weeks Old. It's a true gift! I ordered the audiobook because I had zero time to balance baby, life and schedules and it was the best thing I could have done! I would take my 5 week old daughter for a two hour car ride each day so I knew I could plug in the audio version and be good to listen to it for at least that long. By the time we got home, I felt empowered and excited to implement the skills I had learned. Just so happened that our arrival home coincided with her next feeding. Just like Suzy suggested, I did what I was taught and no joke.... I had to pinch myself because by the first real feeding, something was working!! I can't wait to implement my tool box! Thank you for such a great book! #lifesavor
