The Silencer:

CIA Black Ops agent John Smith is on his latest assignment in London. Little does he know - it'll be his last. His flight is strangely diverted to Philadelphia where he meets a mysterious stranger who knows all about his past and recruits him for a job.

Needing a new identity, Smith becomes Michael Recker. He then tries to prevent bad things happening to innocent people while also interacting with the city's different crime factions. All the while, Recker plans his revenge on the mysterious Agent 17, who committed an act so heinous that Recker will never forget it.

After being ambushed, Recker goes missing for several days and is presumed dead. Once he returns, he seeks retribution on the men responsible and turns to an unlikely source to help him get his revenge. As he embarks on his plot for revenge, he must not only carefully navigate around Mia's growing feelings for him, but also his own feelings for her.

While still not forgetting his main goal of helping the innocent, Recker also further cements his relationship with Tyrell by helping him with a family problem. Though he still keeps Mia at a distance, they can't help but become closer as Recker investigates the disappearance of one of her closest friends.

As Recker embarks on his deadly rampage, Jones worries about The Silencer's growing reputation amongst the public and government agencies.

Recker finally reaches his boiling point and confronts Jones about his lack of progress in finding Agent 17. The professor, feeling guilty about not locating him, admits to a secret he's been hiding. As Recker is trying to find Agent 17, Mia launches her own investigation into her friend's death, frustrated that the killer still hasn't been brought to justice. Her lack of experience causes a major mistake - one that may cost the life of both her and Jones. Recker must not only find Agent 17, but save the lives of his friends before it's too late.

Blowback:

After the circumstances of Agent 17's death, the CIA turns to a specialist to help track down the man they think is responsible - John Smith. Though Recker knows Centurion is coming, he doesn't change how he operates and winds up on police surveillance cameras. Feeling the walls closing in, Jones wants to pack up and move to a new city, though Recker has reservations about leaving. It all boils down to a final confrontation between Recker and his former employers - one he may not survive.

Life of CIA Black Ops Spook.

I appreciate Mike Ryan’s vivid imagination to create the character John Smith and David Jones keeps this series moving from page to page.

The exploits of CIA operatives on America soil is something average citizens only know about through movies, tv shows and Hollywood movies. This book keeps you glued to each chapter. John Smith is a cold mechanic who despises those who steal from and hurt others. His for of justice is swift and permanent. With the help of is computer guru Mr Jones, he directs John Smiths talents to crime scenes as they tale place.

After 3 1/2 years his old company becomes aware of his exploits. Now with local police who are looking for a vigilante killer and CIA looking for a rogue agent Mike Smith stays one step ahead, until. . . You will have to read to know the rest.

After finishing this 4 book set, I down loaded the next 4 books in this series.

Only appealing to adolescent males.

I kept hoping for some redeeming qualities, but there is nothing clever, interesting, suspenseful, mysterious or funny about the story. The characters are flat and formulaic. Nothing more than vigilante shooting scenes.

Mia

This book series could have been a lot better. the entire series is just the same damn conversation over and over. Mia and her questioned. please shut up. I love the narrators voice but very disappointed with the endings. it seem like it was rushed into short stories.

Started off really promising

In the beginning of the series, I love the story line. All characters seem to work well, within the book. However, the woman, love interest of main character, Wrecker, is an annoying nag. It’s like the story moved from crime, action, a stealth enterprise to a poorly written telenovela.
The writer has not given her a personality except for caring for Wrecker and she is a nagging question asker, that interrupts his work and judgment in the story. Did I mention she asks too many questions?

Instead of the love interest being a sideline story, it seems to have become the main storyline.
Not what I signed up for.
I’m disappointed because it started so well.
If you are looking for a slow moving love story, this book may be for you.
If you are looking for crime, mystery or action, this book series lacks.

Books 1-4, Silencer Series

An excellent read. that caught my interest early and kept it. I liked the characters.

Great Series

I totally loved this book so much that I had to grab the next box series. Good verses Bad.
The narrator was vey good.

Fun series

I really enjoyed this series, the story, the narrator were great. If this genre is up your alley check it out!

Bad echo in book 1; better in the rest. Enjoyed the series. On to books 5 - 8.
