a truly marvelous tail

I was unsure when I started this series. Thinking maybe something along the lines of Assassin Creede. However, I was pleased to find a richer cast and whole some storyline. I would highly recommend this story for anyone with a passion for sci-fi.

A perfect blend of Sci-Fi and High Fantasy!

The story encompasses five books and is worth the time invest for sure. I Highly recommend!

Absolutely Wonderful Storytelling

I did not like the story at first, magic instead of technology, but it grew on me!

Good story with ups and downs.

A little slow at time, definitely worth a listen. nothing left to question at the end.

It was alright.

Story was pretty obvious from book two. Including the ending with the two big twists. But otherwise very pleasant.

Loved the story, interesting complex characters, creative beings and travels through space and kick ass action!

Well written

The characters are clearly established, the relationships we thoughtfully played out. The twists and turns are fun, though sometimes predictable at times. I enjoyed the narrator's expert voice adaptations and inflections. I also like the pace at which sequences were carried out, at time simple comments were sentimental and illicitated and emotional response from me that I did not expect.

Magical space vampire assassins, but damn good

So everything being run by magic was weird at first, and I had to listen to the first two chapters twice to be able to get into the feel of the first book. After that? I was hooked.

Excellent character build-up, use of tropes, and plot twists. I was able to sort-of-kind-of predict the ending, but even then the how and why had me pleasantly surprised because I had not predicted that.

When I started this 5 book series I wasn’t sure that it was my cup of tea. But still on after, I was hoping hooked! My only complaint by book 5 is was that there is no book 6. Scott and Eric please give us more of a great series.
