Publisher's summary

Now a number one best seller in inspirational romance!

The first time I met Ian Kemp in the sparkling blue waters of St. Thomas, I was six years old, and we shared a summer beneath the stars.

The second time I met Ian Kemp, he was a shell of the boy I once knew. Turbulent and infuriating, he refused my friendship at every turn. Like me, he was a casualty of life’s cruelty, but we were planets apart.

We’d both sought refuge on the island, hoping to find our anchor. Instead, we found each other and managed to reclaim our stars...until we both got swept away.

Wonderful storytelling

Heartwarming, touching, a true angsty love story between two broken people who have known each other for many years as neighbors and friends.
The Audiobook was narrated beautifully by Jason Clarke and Lila Winters. Lila did a phenomenal job with Ella and Jasmine as well as Cody. Jason Clarke's sultry voice was perfect for the intimate moments and really brought forth the agony Ian felt.

Koti is the character I needed

This was an awesome story, that explored a character having anxiety and not just having it but accepting and finding her best way through. The best is that these characters show all their vulnerabilities, the raw exposed pieces that life can creates were on show and they worked through it.
Kate you did it again and in a whole new way thank you

Loved the book!

I’ve listened to every Kate Stewart book and love them all! This is a really good one but the speakers accent is so bad for Ian. I get he has a bad accent in the book but they could’ve done anything better than that, it was so hard to listen to. Also, really confusing the voice for Ian was just a standard American accent and he didn’t speak in his accent when reading his parts. A really odd and distracting choice. The book is so good though so I can’t rate it lower for that!!

Unique

This story was not your typical love story. Nor was it your typical age gap relationship.

They were each broken in one way or another and that normally turns me off but Kate weaved a lovely story with these two.

I love that they were childhood friends and had that little snippet of history to enhance their initial rekindling of their friendship and start of their love story.

I hope we get Jasmin’s story next! She was so much fun!!

Strong character development , sexy but not inane

Especially enjoyed the character development and found the story line had depth, was well structured.... and well written Pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this book. Was it sexy? Absolutely, but not gratuitous or inane... refreshingly... not stupid. Rather the perfect mix of a good story line, appealing, multi- faceted characters, with just the right amount of sizzle’. It was a ‘fun’ read.

Nice story. Very good.

The author, Kate Stewart, has written a novel about a ma, who, when his wife delivers a baby who isn't his, fathers the child and, when he finds out about the baby's inheritance, divorces his wife and entertains the child quite well. I was disappointed by the author's view of a child. It seems to me that a man, married to a woman, should gladly take care of her children and her, because a true father is simply there, to take care of them. Ian was so unhappy when he found out that the child wasn't his genetically that he divorced his wife. What a huge mistake Ian made in divorcing Tara. It was heartbreaking to see what a cad Ian was, and the whole romance novel swirls around Ian in a way that seems to praise him.

The stars reappear

Heartwrenching, raw, and romantic, sprinkled with tears, laughter, and moments that will stick with me for a very long time. Lila Winters delivers, and I can't wait to listen to more of her. Jason Clarke divers, as always! Kate Stewart, the cause of many nights of missed sleep, and I'm sure many more!!!

Friends unite

I like how they of how old love can become new love. The story has a great paste as problems and issues unfold.
