I need book 2!

Very fun action fantasy story. Author does a great job building a profile for the main character while the story develops. Two timelines unfolding as the events of story developed had me eager to pick this back up the following day every time I paused. Looking forward to the next installment, this one left me giddy with excitement to see where this story goes. Character development and relationships built felt very genuine to real life making the non fantasy aspects of the story relatable.

Gretchen Weber does a great job and shows impressive characterization. Her abilities and the authors verbal illustrations pair well to quickly generate an imaginative vision of the characters and scene as you listen along.

Well done! Pick this one up, you won't look back.

Building to be a fun action series

This is the beginning to a fun action series. You get enough background information on the main character to grow an attachment to, and get to see the beginning of a next Gen superhero OR anti-hero depending how the author takes it. It has a similar feel too Deadpool but is unique in its own way. Really excited to see where the series goes!

Don’t hide in the shadows on this one. Walk straight into this series!

The writer’s descriptiveness and attention to detail in this story will only leave you wanting more. I couldn’t wait to come back and continue this EVERY time I pushed pause. Portroyal has a true knack for writing and I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the rest of the series.
