Publisher's summary
This stand-alone novel follows James and Stacy Sanders as they find themselves in the middle of several catastrophic natural disasters. Stranded on an extinct Pacific Volcano in the Solomon Islands, they encounter an earthquake, followed by its tsunami. With little hope of being rescued as a distant volcano spews, the two work together to find food, water, and shelter while attempting to rekindle their marriage. They quickly discover that teamwork and close communication are a priority if they plan to survive. Their scuba diving skills and extensive knowledge of World War II history keep them one step ahead of the forces of Mother Nature and a relentless cold-blooded killer. As they struggle through one problem after another, their marriage vows of ‘For better or worse’ become a reality.
S.O.S. is what my father would have called – a “humdinger of a page-turner,” and I agree. There are abundant cliffhangers, and heartwarming love interludes as the good couple finds one another. The action is fast, and I stayed up later than I usually do in the evening, fascinated with what was coming next. S.O.S. is a “good read,” my favorite tip-if-the-hat for a book that thoroughly entertained me. Stan Waterman
S.O.S. is a hard to put down, enjoyable thriller set in the stunning location of the Solomon Islands. It has something for everyone with interesting characters, fast-paced action, good guys, bad guys, natural disasters, romance, humor, and scuba diving! S.O.S. will keep you turning the pages to find out what happens next. Kellie Oldfield
The Acroname Series by Jack and Sue Drafahl are stand-alone action-romance novels that span inventors, detectives, CSI scientists, scuba divers, college professors, helicopter pilots, and exotic deep-sea creatures. Each title represents the initials of the main characters in the book. For example, this month, we are featuring S. O. S., which stands for Stacy Olivia Sanders, a professor of marine biology stranded on an island amid catastrophic natural disasters. At present, the Acroname series includes C. A. T., D. N. A., S. O. S., O. M. G., and C. E. O. Soon to be released will include D. O. A., R. I. P., D. I. Y., M. I. A., and R. O. V. You can enjoy them in any order, but we hope you read them all.

Story
In 2035, a NASA Orion spacecraft goes through an anomaly near the moon, ending in 1969. As the four astronauts try to understand what has happened, they soon realize that taking an AI iPhone from 2035 back to 1969 would drastically change the course of human history and create a new river of time. The crew commander has a special AI brain implant and seems to be the key to fixing the problem as she moves outside normal time and space. The more she tries to jump from one timeline to the next, the worse the problem gets. Then she finds out who is responsible, which is definitely not human.
