Publisher's summary

Will their lives and romance survive the trouble coming their way?

Becky Pruitt has always prided herself on knowing everything that's happening on her successful ranch, so an unexpected admission from her foreman, Nate Paxton, comes as quite a surprise. With the notorious Deadeye Gang on the loose, Nate—a former U.S. Marshal—believes Becky's ranch is the best spot for a group of Marshals to use as a base to hunt them down.

The timing couldn't be more crucial for the town of Pine Valley, and Becky feels obligated to help. But after escaping the grasp of her harsh father, she's never liked giving up control—of her life or her ranch. If there's anyone she can trust with her ranch—and her heart—it might be Nate. But the outlaws won't go away quietly, and as danger draws ever nearer, Becky and Nate are faced with impossible choices that will test their growing bond.

Clean story, but romantic and adventurous

Each book in this series had its own story line, but one grand plot to tie them all together. The characters were enjoyable and likable, the bad guys were despicable. Overall a very immersive story that kept me interested and longing for more.

Where were all the men?

I think I’m just sick of feminism in my face all the time. Definitely good to cover the suffrage movement, but when it seems like every female character is doing traditionally male labor in the same story, it made all the good men look weak and the rest bad men. I appreciated greatly Becky’s reliance on faith particularly when she was in danger.

Great book

Marshalling Her Heart is a fascinating book with an intriguing plot. It can be listened to as a stand alone, but would be best after listening to the first two in the series.
This series is one of the best I have heard. Ms McCulloh did an excellent job with the narration.

Fantastic!

I love Connealy’s humor and storylines. Add McCulloh, and you’ve got a top-notch book/performance. (Now what do I do? I’ve read/listened to them all! 😩😂)

Romance and Independence

I am so happy to read from an author that says yes women can it both . I have read the entire series on my trips to town once a week . We live in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. I see it so easy in my mind as the narrator takes through these ladies lives .
I will be rereading this series for a long time to come thank you for such great writing.
