I'm sure your first question is: Can you actually learn a foreign language while you’re asleep? Well, according to a Swiss research study in 2014, the answer is unassailably, YES! In this study, a group of German speakers was given a list of unfamiliar Dutch words to study. Half were instructed to get some sleep, while they listened to long lists of Dutch words and translations. The other half was instructed to stay awake. Four hours later, they were tested and the group that listened while they slept had significantly higher recall. The study concluded that people can indeed absorb new information passively during non-REM sleep - which is the deep sleep we get in the first few hours of the night.

This audiobook is divided into six chapters, each with different kinds of vocabulary, and with different music. Choose a different chapter each night, or loop the audiobook to have a continuous stream. Some listeners - those with more experience with the foreign language - have reported that these recordings allow them to dream in that language!

Two Words; IT WORKS!

I was skeptical at first but after listening to this book all the way through twice, I can now say that the limited amount of Spanish that I thought I knew is now much greater. I took Spanish in high school 35 years ago and have been able to speak and understand little bits here and there but in the last three weeks, I find myself comprehending a lot more and also speaking Spanish more fluently. The narrators voice is so soothing that it's almost impossible not to fall asleep while listening to this. What a great idea and what a great way to learn. The real test will be my trip to Mexico next month!

Disappointed

Not what I expected, thought I’d could of been better like more house home items numbers daily conversation stuff but it was teaching everything else

Amazing book!

I have always heard about learning in your sleep, but never thought it could be this amazing! The music is wonderful, it is so calming and relaxing. Now you can learn a new language while meditating and get a better sleep also. What else can you ask for? This book is wonderful for anyone who wants to learn Spanish in a relaxing way to get a better night's sleep. Get this book!

Awesome Book!

very easy to follow, extremely relaxing and beneficial .. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to start learning spanish,
the narration is fantastic!

Not Easy

I didn't receive this book in the condition I had anticipated! It appears as though something was spilled or someone stomped on it! I'm quite dissatisfied!

this book has no audio

no audio. doesn't work! pretty much just stole my money! so upset right now. mad

Not helpful.

This books is not good. It doesn't give any phonetic pronunciation information. I don't like it

Meh...

Pros:
*It gets you to focus on your Spanish.
*The music is soothing and pleasant.

Cons:
*The vaunted "music" stops after chapter 1.
*There are only words. No helpful phrases. This would have been 10x better if it had simple phrases like, "May I please get the check?" or "How much for this item?" Even just the first ten that are in every travel book would have been nice.
*Not much care seems to have been put into the word choice. For example, "cassette tape" was included. Do you remember the last time you needed to inquire about a cassette tape in Spanish?
