What was supposed to be one of the happiest days of my life turned into my worst nightmare. After losing my wife, my daughter is all I live for. Well, her and the ranch. Between work and my family, I keep myself busy. I don’t have time for relationships, nor do I even want one. It’s the way I like it. The way I need it. If I don’t open up, I won’t love.

Story
Renowned as much for her wit and satirical social commentary as for her stories of love and romance, Jane Austen remains unfailingly relevant and one of Britain’s best loved authors. In this Audible Original collection, an all-star list of narrators (Billie Piper, Claire Foy, Emma Thompson, Florence Pugh and Gugu Mbatha-Raw) capture Austen’s pin-sharp humour and tone in these dramatisations of her six beloved novels accompanied by a full cast.

Story
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

Story
In the heart of the South Pacific lies Point Nemo, the most desolate and remote place on Earth. At its core is a dead zone, devoid of life, where government agencies crash their obsolete satellites and space stations, confident they won't harm a soul. When the International Space Station suffers a catastrophic failure and plummets through the atmosphere, it's here that Mission Specialist Julie Rohr, an astrobiologist studying living space dust called xylem, finds herself marooned. Julie's only hope for rescue lies in the hands of her estranged father, Dr. Finn Maddern, a renowned mycologist.

Story
When the call came it seemed like the answer to my prayers. My career as a voice actor had been over for months and me and my little girl Scarlet were living back at my mum’s place. I felt like a failure professionally—and with Scarlet having problems at school, as a parent as well. So, when I was asked to narrate a new book by disappeared novelist Philippa Roberts I jumped at the chance, even if it meant leaving Scarlet with my ex, Hugo, for a few weeks. Hugo, with his perfect new home and his perfect new girlfriend Saskia. But this isn’t a dream come true. It’s a nightmare.

Heartfelt and Precious
A wonderful story presented with perfect narration! Wholesome AND quality are, unfortunately, not two words synonymous with good storytelling in our "more, the next, and make it yesterday!" paced world. Get this tale, settle into your chair or lay on your bed, and just relax! Audible Listens such as this might be considered rare for you, but they do not HAVE to be! But, be warned, these minutes of peace and blossoming happiness is addictive! So, purchase/use that credit, get comfortable, and welcome to your "new normal!"

Can a widow find love again?
Allison is still devastated at losing her husband. She moves with her daughters to Ohio to get away from the memories. I could feel her pain. I could picture her daughters. Great short story.

I'll Be Waiting in Heaven
In a way, this story was heartbreaking, seeing as a character in other books had died several years earlier. It's so wonderful, though, that she finds someone else to love and love her. Her daughters have a difficult time with the transition. Like any family, Amish or not, new can be frightening, especially to kids, but their mom helps them come to terms with their new life.

I’ll Be Waiting in Heaven
A short sweet story that gives a glimpse into the life of an Amish family.
Heartbroken following the death of her husband, Allison looks to make a fresh start with her daughters. With so many reminders of her beloved Lucas, Allison decides to move to where her cousin is, but is she ready to open herself up to finding love again?
While this was a super short story, by Becca Fisher, I really enjoyed it.
Stephanie Richardson did a lovely job with the narration. A great performance.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

An enjoyable Christian read/listen
I'll Be Waiting in Heaven, my 15th read from Christian author Becca Fisher. An enjoyable, short, 38-minute tale. This said I have to say that the author packs a lot into the pages of this Amish novelette. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reading & reviewing it. Stephanie Richardson’s narration adds to the book's enjoyment. I'll be reading more from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

A 2nd chance for Alison
Lucas has passed away in a drowning accident. Now Alison and her 2 daughters are on there own, each of them miserable without him. They decide to pull up their roots and more away. I was graciously given a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. I am loving these novellas! Each of them draws you right in and has that quick satisfaction of completing the story. The narrator does a wonderful.job. I highly recommend this book and the entire series.

Second Chance At Love
Life in the Amish center daily around the home and family. She needs help with her two young children. Not easy when she lost her first husband so early in life, to take a chance again. Given ARC audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
