Publisher's summary

A standalone story in the Wall Street Journal best-selling Shadow Beast Shifters world. Best heard after Compelled for storyline continuity.

Samantha, of the Clarity shifters, has a secret. And it’s going to cost her everything.

To save the most important person in her life, Samantha promises to form a mate bond with her pack’s future leader. If she can produce one heir, she’ll finally have her freedom.

During the ceremony, the leader invokes the Shadow Beast’s name, calling the powerful and scary god right into their midst. A god with an even scarier mate. Mera, a shifter Samantha once counted as friend, never lets anything rest. She demands her secrets be revealed, and in doing so, uncovers a way to save them all from this fate.

And it turns out that the Clarity pack leader isn’t Samantha’s greatest challenge.

It’s one of Shadow's brothers: Len, prince of the Silver Lands. The fae, with the knowledge to save the one she cherishes above all others, forces Clarity to tie herself to him and Faerie.

A world that she’s long feared. A world that could steal her heart.

And her soul.

If the prince doesn’t take them first.

This is a standalone in the Shadow Beast world and does not end on a cliffhanger. It is advised to listen to the first five books in the Shadow Beast world first (Rejected, Reclaimed, Reborn, Deserted, Compelled) to get the most enjoyment from the story. Not required though. This is a forgotten-love story, with action, snark, anti-heroes, and steam. It is recommended for listeners 18 and up due to storyline and situations.

This is a great series

Not my favorite out of the six but still a great story; it brought the stories to an end but allowed for the possibility of another.

More Books In This Series Please!

This whole series is great! It won’t feel complete without everyone finds their mate though. At least two more standalone stories for the last two bachelors please~

Good story, decent narration

4⭐️/4🌶️/3.5🎧

I was so excited for this story and the narration to be released! I feel like the story felt a little rushed. It was good, but not as good as the original books in the series. I was glad for Len and Sam. Their story is complete, but there could’ve been more detail and less glossing over certain parts and timelines.
I liked the narrators and felt like they did well with Len, Sam, Angel, and Reese, but they fell flat with Mera, Shadow, and Simone. Simone and Mera are both snarky b@d@$$ women, but the narration missed the mark on that for them. Shadow has a commanding presence, but the narration failed to express this.
Overall, I did enjoy the story, and the narration didn’t totally turn me off. I love the Shadow Beast world, and always recommend it. This story included.

Amazing

This book, like the others, was amazing. I have been waiting 11 months for this book to come to audible. I love to listen to the different characters. My favorite, of course, was Mera and Shadow. I wanted to savor this book because I knew it was the last but I didn’t want it to end. There are people on here complaining about it being similar to the others and that’s why it’s part of a book series. If you loved the other books you will love this one as well.

Over all great series

Has my Title stated over all great series but way to much sex maybe as a filler over story I don’t know but over still worth the time and really felt the story line even if it was second to the sex in the books it was great to read over all

Much better

Sooooo much better than the previous 2 books. Yes Mera and Shadow are in this because honestly, they are kind of the soul of the group, this story was much better. It did take a bit to get into this book, partially because the ending was a forgone conclusion and I thought it would be more like the previous 2 books but once the death blow happened, I was hooked. The twist about Sam was nice and knowing there are additional members to the group who haven't joined yet made me happy to know that our single characters should have a happily ever after in their futures was nice, though that does mean that....spoilers

Our one true death character will come back eventually, which is a little of a let down. I did get a little aggravated at the end feeling like Sam's old pack should have been dealt with before their family dinner and would have liked to know how those who fled were dealt with. It was also nice to see everyone come together for the world ending event and see how they were all connected. It does leave questions about the other Origin beings and their worlds though....more world ending event options in the future? The author does seem to really enjoy making all the males out to be the same, controlling, possessive and growly, even though until their book, they never come off that way, except Reece of course, which clashes with the characters you have grown to know through the series, although once they aren't main Characters, they again go back to their original personalities, leaving you to wonder if the author is unsure how to write a male character, in love, any other way. Like, literally they all growl even when they have no real animal side. Overall I liked this book much better and it gives me hope for additional books in the series and their ability to draw me into the Shadow beast world or more accurately, Meras world. Also, the female narrator really needs to learn to slow down a little bit, it's like she is determined to speed read through the book. Kind of aggravating. The changes in the Characters voices each book also drives me nuts, I have this issue with any series like this but the male characters especially in this one were annoying in the complete difference.

whole series is great

I really liked this whole series, the story lines were different from other books I have listened to, there was never a boring moment. I liked that the characters got their own books it was nice to understand their background of who they were and how they gotten to where they were. I appreciate the male female narrators when they both do their respective part.

If I had one complaint it was having 3 sets of narrators, you get used to the characters and their personalities and voices and then the next book comes along and it's a completely different set of narrators and you have to settle into the characters all over again and then the same thing for the last couple books. Overall I would recommend the series.
