Story
Elizabeth Bennet is a pickpocket, and she first meets Mr. Darcy when she tries to steal his watch. Mr. Darcy has never met a young woman like Elizabeth Bennet. She is intelligent and pretty, and she has her own opinions. Against his better judgement, he finds himself falling madly in love with her. Mr. Darcy and the Pickpocket is based on Jane Austen’s iconic lovers, with a fun twist – Elizabeth comes from a crime family and considers herself like Robin Hood. Yes, she is a thief, but she wants to help the poor. She thinks most wealthy men are arrogant and selfish, so how can she fall in...

Publisher's summary
For Love Apart is a collection of two previously published Pride and Prejudice novellas
Irresistibly Alone by Julie Cooper
UNTIL THE DAY of the Netherfield Ball, Elizabeth Bennet’s greatest concerns are wondering who might partner with her for a dance and the likely ruin of her shoe roses after she stands up with Mr. Collins. A death in the neighbourhood changes everything, including her belief in the benevolence of the father she has always adored. Suddenly, she alone holds the means of salvation for her family’s future. Alas, what is required of her is marriage to a man old enough to be her grandfather.
FITZWILLIAM DARCY REGRETTED insulting the lovely Elizabeth Bennet—but not enough to apologise. After all, raising the hopes of such an ineligible young lady would be improper and unkind. That night at Netherfield, however, he not only discovers Elizabeth’s future is tragically decided, but he begins to see a depth of grace and courage in her that he has never known in another.
The Wallflower by Frances Reynolds
ELIZABETH BENNET and her sister Jane have come to London in the autumn at the invitation of their uncle. Elizabeth, initially delighted by the novelty of new acquaintances and experiences in London, dislikes one proud, conceited, and unfairly handsome Mr Darcy who renders a grievous insult to her at one of their first meetings. Alas, the social downfall of this insult is rapid and severe for Elizabeth.
FITZWILLIAM DARCY regrets his intemperate words and wishes everyone would allow them to be forgot. Alas, with Charles Bingley set on winning Jane Bennet's heart and hand, and his noble uncle eager to further an acquaintance with the Gardiners, he will have to do more than merely wish. He will have to admit that a young lady left sitting without a dance partner may still be very tempting indeed.

Story
For twenty years Elizabeth Bennet had lived, quite contentedly, as the second daughter of a country squire. During her Easter visit to her newly married friend, Lizzy has the dubious pleasure of being introduced to Lady Catherine de Bourgh and her cosseted daughter. To Elizabeth’s surprise, the pair take a keen interest in a mere adopted daughter of the Bennet family, and when Mr. Darcy dutifully pays his annual visit to Rosings Park, her life takes a wholly unexpected turn.

This is yet another sweet, clean, low-angst Pride and Prejudice Variation. This book of 64,000 words takes Elizabeth and Darcy out of their usual circumstances and meeting places. All of the usual villains are part of the story but minimized significantly. If you enjoy a light-hearted version of Our Dear Couple’s road to Happily Ever After, this may be a book for you. Excerpt: Mr. Thomas Bennet massaged his temples as his five-day-old daughter again woke and cried in hungry complaint. He and the wet nurse Mrs. Lindsay had been on the road for two days with the infant, and his nerves had ...

One warning, two cautions, and two notes: WARNING: Portions of this book focus on some of George Wickham’s worst crimes against young ladies. While the revenge taken is not fully or graphically detailed, it is extreme. “He had certainly formed such a plan, and without meaning that it should effect his endeavour to separate him from Miss Bennet, it is probable that it might add something to his lively concern for the welfare of his friend.” Pride & Prejudice, chapter 45 This vagary proposes an alternate path for the characters of Pride and Prejudice. Warning: This is another excessively sweet, clean, low-angst story written from a decidedly Christian point of view. This novella of about 44,000 words is about the fulfillment of Elizabeth’s Bennet’s childhood wish to be Mrs. Darcy. Excerpt: The young couple joined hands as they stood together in the sun-filled meadow of the sprawling estate of Pemberley. “Dearly beloved,” the ceremony began, “we have gathered here to witness the joining of this couple in holy matrimony.” The speaker did his best to remember the words of the marriage service without the benefit of his prayer ...

This novel of 67,000 words is a sweet and clean variation of Pride and Prejudice written from a Christian perspective. The characters meet as children and grow in understanding of themselves and each other over the period of Elizabeth at age five until her marriage. There are no super-villains to wreak havoc on our heroes or heroines in this low-angst retelling. Except: Summer 1796 - On a mild summer day in Hertfordshire, Lady Anne Darcy sat in the shade of the terrace overlooking the generous expanse of manicured lawn behind their leased estate. Netherfield Park was an agreeable location ...

Darkness, in many forms, must be conquered to emerge into the light and embrace one’s happily ever after. Fitzwilliam Darcy. Colonel Richard Fitzwilliam. Two cousins, closer than brothers. One finds love despite his inner demons; the other resists love because of them. Elizabeth Bennet. Kitty Bennet. Two sisters, strengthened by adversity. One willingly yields to love; the other pridefully misinterprets it.

Great P&P duology by two excellent authors
It’s wonderful that Quills & Quartos Publishing has released this audiobook duology featuring two excellent Pride and Prejudice variation novellas by two very talented authors, Julie Cooper and Frances Reynolds, and narrated by the best of narrators, Stevie Zimmerman. Her narration and performance is always stellar and never ever disappoints.
Irresistably Alone, written by Julie Cooper
This book is everything a Pride and Prejudice variation should be. Julie Cooper, in this unputdownable novella, has written a perfect love story in the truest sense of those words. Oh my, I wish I could give it ten stars.
The Wallflower, written by Frances Reynolds
In this dual Elizabeth/Darcy POV novella-length book, Frances Reynolds cleverly lets us see just what each of them is feeling or thinking as the plot unfolds. ‘The Wallflower’ is a very satisfying read and is well written and edited. I highly recommend it.

Two stories in one WONDERFUL audiobook
I thought I wrote a review when I finished this book a month ago but guess it didn't go through. First off, this is two different stories written by two authors (Julie Cooper & Frances Reynolds). I have both of these books (one in physical & the other in ebook format). I enjoyed both prior to the audiobook's release. I liked "The Walflower" but I was more emotional with "Irresistibly Alone" by Julie Cooper. This audiobook narrated by Stevie Zimmerman took both stories up to a higher level - Thank you Stevie for the phenomenal performance!!! You can read the description given for each story so I dont have to share more about that. Both are relatively shorter stories but dont let that stop you from taking the time to listen to this audiobook (or read the books if you dont do audio). I love both stories even more especially "Irresistibly Alone"! This story alone is worth the audiobook.

short and sweet
I liked the first book better than the second book. Darcy was very nice in the first book and he made the Folly so comfy for Elizabeth. I wanted to visit the Folly too. Stevie Zimmerman was very good as usual.
