Fantastic Story & Narration🎧Riveting & Heartfelt!

Maggie Cole pens another awesome novel in her “Mafia Wars” series. I loved the first book of the series “Ruthless Stranger” it had been my first book written by Ms. Cole and I was wondering if she was going to be able to top that book or even keep up with the momentum she created. She did not disappoint one bit, I loved this book just as much, maybe even a little more because these two characters Boris Ivanov and Nora O’Malley found their way into my heart. Hearing what the Ivanov’s went thru when they were younger broke my heart, but they did not let it break them, they grew from it but there was an everlasting connection to their past in the form of a debt to Petrov the leader of a Russian mob family. It is Boris who has to pay that debt, he and Petrov have an arrangement one he is bound to or there would be consequences for him and his family. But it gets harder for him each time and now he has other things in his life to consider and take care of. Boris and Killian O’Malley are good friends, they spare in the same gym and hang together in the O’Malley bar which his sister Nora just took over. Boris and Nora have feelings for each other but it could never go anywhere, her brothers want to with an Irishman and not a Russian. There is great chemistry between them and even when they give in they have to keep it a secret. He knows he is not good for her, that he has too many complications in his life and he does not want to bring them to hers. But she sees things differently she knows her family has their own mob dealings which brings in trouble. Can these two really stay apart and do they really have to? I loved how everything played out in this book, the story is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, action, thrilling suspense, heartfelt and emotional moments and some hot romance. The world building continues in this book as more characters and power players are introduced, I loved how Ms. Cole brings these two families together to make them more powerful in the Chicago mafia world. They are forcing the other mafia families to come out and play. Maggie Cole thank you for another amazing story, like the first book it is entertaining, enjoyable and an unpredictable and emotional rollercoaster ride. I am looking forward to what happens next in this awesome series.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Gregory Salinas and Allyson Voller are fabulously talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They bring the characters to life, humanize them, give each their own distinct voice and personality. Their portrayal of each character was spot on, I loved how they took each role and made it their own sounding believable and just as I pictured them to sound. Gregory Salinas plays Boris’ role with perfection and Allyson Voller did the same for Nora. Both are great performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, capture all of the characters emotions and project them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

Brother's Best Friend Mafia Romance

Broken Fighter by Maggie Cole is a brother's best friend dark mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Gregory Salinas and Allyson Voller. This is the second book in the Mafia Wars series. The book can be read as a standalone but the stories are interconnected.

This is the second book of Maggie's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. I loved the relationship between Boris and Nora. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Cruel Enforcer to be released on June 1, 2021 so I can get Sergey and Kora's story.

Gregory and Allyson did a great job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you love mafia romances, brothers best friend romances, dark romances, or romantic suspense.

A great listen

I love the narration. I was drawn in from the first sentence. I listen as I travel and when I reached my destination I couldn’t turn it off.

Broken Fighter

Love it! These books are so intense and pull out every emotion for you. I absolutely love mafia books so knew this would be right up my alley, but it was so much more for me. The characters are so full of life and the story is so interesting. And then the epilogue!!!! Even though this is a stand alone, I need the next book soon!

Enjoyed it

After reading the last book, I as anxious for this one and I was not disappointed.  Broken Fighter is a taboo, mafia, brothers best friend romance that held my attention until the end. Boris and Nora’s have loved each other forever and they definitely belong together. Their relationship was an intense slow burn that eventually exploded and will melt your kindle. The story was steamy, action packed, gory, angsty and I enjoyed every  minute of it. The audiobook was narrated by Gregory Salinas and Allyson Voller. They did a fantastic job bringing out the personalities of the characters. Their voices were clear and understandable and it was a pleasure listening to them narrate this novel.

this one is hot 🔥 steamy sexy and kept me reading or listening 🎶 till it was over.. I really loved maxiam and aspen but man Boreus (spelling) & Nora is a show stealer for me..
everything flows together ❤ it has everything from love, murder, family to HEA this is a hit for me. Maggie cole #1 the narrators 100% I would give more stars if it allowed.. now on to the next book would obviously recommend this book totally worth the credit

Great continuation!

Half the book puts you back to tell more of the story. Great series and kinda interested in the next book and hope it continues to be a great series!

Equal parts Irish and Russian = Perfection!

Gregory and Allyson did an amazing job bringing all the feels in this book. This is book 2 in Maggie’s Mafia War series….

Did you say Ivanov? Yes please! Boris Ivanov is a boxer and a business man. He has known Nora O’Malley since she was a young girl, but she’s off limits since she’s an O’Malley and he has never given into his desire for her. Every year he is called to pay a family debt, it breaks him a little more and he gave in! Nora and Boris are instant sparks when they are together, but they both know it can’t be. Being with each other puts each of their family members in more danger. Will they be able to figure it out how to be together the way they want? Or go back to being just friends?

I know I already mentioned this is book two of Maggie’s new Mafia Wars series but let me tell you that these Ivanov’s are so hot so hot and there are more Ivanov brothers to come (pun intended)! This book is such a yummy romance....it has sex, love, passion, suspense, mystery and danger! You won’t be disappointed!

Broken Fighter is the second book in The Ivanov Family series. This book is told from dual points of view from Boris and Nora. Boris is friends with Nora's brother, and she has had feelings for him as long as she can remember. She is Italian, and he is Russian.

Nora's family wants her to marry another Italian and them have babies together, but she's tired of hearing it all of the time. She starts to see Boris behind their backs. Boris has a secret he's hiding about what he does for a living, and when Nora finds out she still loves him.

What happens when Nora's family finds out about their secret relationship? Will they be able to survive what his job entails?

I really liked this book, and can't wait to see what happens next in this series.

Love it!!!

Loved the book but for the first time I had to speed up to 1.10x narration was great and that was my only negative thing was the speed. Like I said I love the book and is another home run
for Maggie Cole. If you love mafia, dark, Russian badass guy and an Irish girl with a strong will and a stronger mafia family this book is for you and of course me 😁.
Boris and Nora are two people from two different family and usually the russian and irish don't mix but when you fall in love it doesn't matter what family you come from. It's a great book with some pretty dark moment but over all was absolutely one of my favorite. Looking forward to book 3. Is it June yet!?!? 😁
