Publisher's summary

This book is an overview of Dr. Thomas Seyfried's scientific work regarding cancer as a metabolic disease. It comprises:

  • Transcripts of his talks and interviews that summarize all his most important points
  • A presentation by his collegue, Dr. Dominic D'Agostiono, about the press pulse strategy
  • A thriller-like keto origin story by Travis Christofferson and Robb Wolff

Here is the description of his scientific work:

Cancer as a Metabolic Disease addresses controversies related to the origins of cancer and provides solutions to cancer management and prevention. It expands upon Otto Warburg's well-known theory that all cancer is a disease of energy metabolism. However, Warburg did not link his theory to the hallmarks of cancer, and thus his theory was discredited. This audiobook aims to provide evidence, through case studies, that cancer is primarily a metabolic disease requiring metabolic solutions for its management and prevention.

Brain cancer case studies are presented as a proof of principle for metabolic solutions to disease management, but similarities are drawn to other types of cancer, including breast and colon, due to the same cellular mutations that they demonstrate.

This book comprises the opinion of Dr. Thomas Seyfried regarding the metabolic nature of cancer. He states that it is not genetic disease but a mitochondrial disease.

This book is not a summary of his original scientific book. It's rather a collection of video transcripts that summarize his point.

Issues with Omega 6 3 ratios in oil, foods to avoid, fasting.

enjoyed the entire book, nothing else to say about it. Great read too. Like the parts about intermittent fasting.

Enlightening but enraging at the same time!

I very much enjoyed this book just like any other book of Dr.Seyfried and this audio is as compelling as all others I have read from this author. It is just terribly disappointing that we are letting people die and suffer from this decease when we have an understanding of the root cause and the methods for cure. It is just not a promise land for profit for corporations and pharmaceuticals and that is why these proven therapies have not been adopted in the western world. I highly recommend this book for anyone that has cancer or knows someone with cancer that you can refer to.

Short, but very enlightening.

I’ve recommending this title and Dr. Seyfried’s other title to everyone I can. This information needs to get out to more doctors and patients.

Disguised marketing info

The last chapter has nothing to do with Dr Thomas Seyfried's work on cancer as a metabolic disease. It's a collection of lecture and interviews, disguised as a bait for a diet program. Such an disappointment.

A compilation of sound files off YouTube

Good concept but these are clearly audio files from online videos, not cohesively gathered.
