Publisher's summary

From number-one New York Times best-selling author Fern Michaels comes a captivating and heartfelt novel, as a young dancer finds an unexpected partner - and gains the courage to live according to her heart….

In a city built on dreams, Trisha Holiday makes her living moving like one. But out of her dancer's costume, she's as down-to-earth as they come. That's why she ignores the admiring note - and the accompanying $1,000 bill - that arrives backstage after one of her ethereal performances. Yet the sender, a wealthy foreign prince, isn't easily dissuaded. Seven years living and studying in the United States have made Malik long for the freedom to choose his own bride - and the woman he wants is Trisha.

After a breathtaking visit to Malik's kingdom culminates in a marriage proposal, Trish attempts to adjust to an opulent new lifestyle complete with servants, sumptuous surroundings, and vast wealth. None of that matters to Trish as much as Malik's love. With Malik's sister Soraya proving a trusted new friend, they plan a lavish wedding surpassing anything she could have imagined.

Yet Trish's new life will have challenges too - adjusting to a new and complex culture, to the myriad demands of Malik's royal position, and to the expectations she faces as his wife. In the midst of her own major changes, Trish vows to help her sister, Emma, whose marriage has ended in a bitter breakup. And through it all, Trish will strive to stay true to what matters most: love, true friendship, and the ties that hold family together across the miles and the years.

Great Book

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I thought this book had everything a reader would like. Romance, love, payback, sorrow, and a new future. I laughed, I cried, I rejoiced and I dreamed. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Fern Michaels is one of my favorites.

Although this was not my favorite , I still enjoyed it. I thought it started out a little slow , but picked up quickly and I enjoyed the subplots as well. It is another laugh, cry, cheer !

strong bonds

This is a book of love, passion, loss, and life. for a book of fiction it still hits home and you can identify with the characters. I love how Fern Michaels writes, and love her books. She'll always be in the top 10 for me.

A Family Afair

I loved this story as I do most of Fern Michaels books. I laughed and cried I love how the Sister in laws got a long a wonderful wonderful story. You have romance and needed revenge. It goes to show you being to helpless people is not a good look. The women in the story got help and strength from Emily sister and made a remarkable recovery from spiteful and dishonest men. A very good read.

Modern Fairytale

This book is like a fairytale. With some cute, funny, and very sad scenes. I don't usually like a tear jerker love story. But this book was well worth the tissues used. As an adult I have no problem with a couple of sex scenes. But personally I found this book to be refreshing do to the absence of those overly drawn out sex scenes. That so many of the newer authors insist on putting into their stories. Which in my opinion add absolutely nothing to the story line. As for this book I wouldn't hesitate to let a young teen read this story. There would be no worries about encouraging bad morals just good character building. Good job of narration done by Cris Dukehart.

Hard to listen

I hate to bash anything but it was so hard to listen to, as the narrators is using different voices for her charterers that are just not good. Story was so boring.
