Truly have IMMENSELY enjoyed all his books. Checks all my boxes & am never bored . I’m always frustrated that I didn’t space it out more to make it last longer … but I just wanna keep listening. This is how to tell a story!..again

Constant action and suspense

I loved this book, I love books that are hard to put down. Twists and turns keep you on your toes. The only negative I would is it kinda reminded me of the movie “Speed.”

It was okay

I felt like we should have gotten deeper into the story. It had such a good outline but I felt like I didn’t like any of the characters and didn’t care about any of them.

Another Entertaining Rollercoaster

Never know what may happen! Great characters u can relate to good & bad. Stumbled on 4 Monkey killer books & now looking for anything from Barker

Pretty good, not as good as 4MK

I'm gonna bullet point this one, mostly to reiterate what a lot of others have said:
- The female narrator is good (4/5 stars). The male isn't horrible (2 stars) but puts frequent pauses where they shouldn't be, almost like he has very little lung capacity. It was distracting at times, but not unbearable for me.
- The story is good, and moves quickly in terms of the pace, but there were a couple of times when it felt like the end was near and I was surprised to see I still had 2 hours left. That wasn't a bad thing to me, just surprising.
- The protagonist is generally not likeable, and that can bother many people. I found the antagonist strangely likeable. That dissonance can be fun or frustrating depending on the listener. You may find yourself hoping that certain characters die when I don't believe that's the author's intent (but who knows?).

Love his books!!

This like the fourth monkey series was great. I will be listening to all. I especially liked the authors note at the end. I am really late listening to this, but yes we made it!!

Good action poor story

Very fast paced for sure but got redundant. Back story didn't match well ...and somehow the gun shot wounds were forgotten.

Great author

Excellent story line, kept me engrossed the entire time. 5 stars! I began with the Fourth Monkey series about 2 weeks ago, loved all that series and looking forward to more from this author.

J.D Barker never disappoints

From the first chapter to the last chapter, J.D takes us on a Rollercoaster ride with a fast pace and thrilling turn of events.
