Zak training worked for my dog

I like the idea of looking out dog in his own world rather bringing him to our own expectations. Zak makes the training very simple and it had work for my dog ( Standard Poodle) He is 4 months and know at least 40 commands. Also, as mentioned in the book, I am slowly weaning off the treats for every command. Great book and also am a big fan of his YouTube channel. Kudos!!!

a wonderful book that every dog owner should have.

this is a terrific book that is clearly written and relatable for all dog owners. He does away with the myths of dominance based dog training and instead promotes a model based on trust, love and scientific principles.

Best Dog Training Book

I’ve read a lot of books on dog training over the years, but this is the most informative, approachable, and relevant one I’ve encountered.

The best dog training book

As a first dog owner, I have read many dog training books and went through some courses and I found Zak’s book the best. His passion and love toward dogs made this book extremely easy to understand. This book helped me and my puppy a lot. His emphasis on how to communicate with my dog helped me and my puppy to create a strong bond. I appreciate how he logically explains why some ways of training are not successful. I want to listen to this book for the second time. It is one of the best. Thanks, Zak.

Love his training and so does our dog Xena

Loved this book. We've only had Xena a month and she's already getting compliments from passers-by about how well she walks on a leash. She does sit, lie down, roll over, paws up, stay and leave it very well in the house. Now we'll start working on distractions. Thank you Zak for all your videos and your books. Xena thanks you too.

successful using these methods with my dogs

First started listening to this when my 2 puppies were 3-4 months old and have gone back and re-read specific chapters as needed. The girls are now 1.5 years old and we have been successful using these methods with them wherever we are consistent and practice the desired behaviors. Sometimes the book can drag on a little long on a point, but this is understandable since a lot of training principles overlap and are based on repetition. Thanks for a great book!

Great guide to raise a puppy/dog.

This book is great, and i have been practicing with my puppy on basic skills since we got her 5 weeks ago. She is still bitey as most puppies are, but through these methods she is eager to learn and please me. She already has about 13 tricks under her belt, from a solid game of fetch to a little wave she just learned this morning. I watched many of his videos online as they are a great resource as well.

Positive reinforcement training is the way to go, and i'll never train any other way.

Thanks Zac for the book and the videos!
