Publisher's summary

So...as it turns out, I really am Lucifer's daughter. Hell's heir. And - you guessed it - the next queen of the damned. But what if I don't want to rule?

With the imp in hiding and Josh gone from this world, I still wasn't safe. Not by a long shot. Dear ol' Dad didn't just pass on his legacy and mark. He also passed on all of Hell's problems, and that means his enemies are now mine.

Fortunately for me, I have the Four Horsemen, my banshee best friend, and a pissed-off raccoon on my side. But now I have the beast with which to contend. My psychotic, possessive, and downright scary alter ego was dead set on having the Horsemen, not only at my back, but in my bed. As if learning to control the flames of Hell wasn't a hard enough job by itself.

Would it have been too hard for Lucifer to write a handbook before he died?

Contains mature themes.

AWESOME.

Very good continuation. Hollie Jackson brings the characters to life. Love her narration/performance. Kel Carpenter is new to me but I certainly will look for more of her books. The four horsemen are soo macho. Of course Ruby the main character in the story is fantastic. She's smart and she face her problems head on and solve them admirably. I have downloaded the four books in this series and I hope there will be more books to come for this series. Worth a credit!

Wow What a Great Sequel!

I would really encourage anyone that is thinking about reading this book to start with the first book. Book one is so great and you will not want to miss it! The writing is amazing and I just could not put it down!
Narration was excellent and brought the story to life.

Amazing

The soft change of tone and the familiar hitch in her voice she brings the words to life and always makes me want more. The well paced jokes and perfectly timed romance scenes are a diabolical thing. I love this pair author and actress. What a perfect match.

Ruby is changing

Ruby is the center character. She has love.for all the characters.. She is learning each of her demons the 4 horseman. They each represent different human actions in life and death. The adventure is just being.

Good sequel, liked book 1 more though

I dove right into book 2 after I finished book 1 because I was already super invested in these characters and storyline. I will say book 2 wasn't as exciting to me as book 1, but I liked it regardless. I thought at times this was slower paced, in terms of the plot, and then the relationships would progress than take 100 steps back haha. I love the angst and tension don't get me wrong, but I would have loved to get some extended happy/sexy moments between them haha. I don't want to give too much away, but I did enjoy the protectiveness and loyalty Laran showed, how some of the others wanted to be the next marked haha, and Moira and Bandit's antics haha. I felt for Ruby a lot in this one, there were a lot of emotions going on and her powers and demon were becoming out of control which didnt make it better. I was super intrigued by how everything ended (didnt see some things coming which was cool). Went right into book 3 ❤️

For narration, like I mentioned in book 1's review. I thought the accents got super muddled as the series went on. I thought the emotional connection improved and was highlighted, but I thought Hollie got a little confused what some of the guys were supposed to be sounding like. 4/5 stars from me again.

If you love RH and love demons, powers and other supernatural creatures (and not quite normal pet raccoons haha), you will thoroughly enjoy this series 😊

Banter Unimagined

The sarcasm, danger, and committment for these characters is amazing! It's a fun adventure into a dark world that I'm here for! I can't wait to read the next book.

I loved books 1 and 2 in this series ...

I waited til I'd listened to all four books..... The first two books in the series were a great pleasure to listen to -- the female protagonist had great depth, paranormal insights, some powers and powers adding, and a fabulously loyal friend. She had four men of various godly types show up to guard her and convince her she had to give up her earthly life and go to hell with them on a mission -- it's a great story line, and the author did a really fun job of writing the first two books in the series. I so admired the female lead's attitude toward the men, who of course oozed sexual appeal, of demanding that they show their worthiness of her sexual attention -- and in the first two books, she held them at bay, demanding their respect of her as an adult, who could make her own decisions. and, unless you like really funky sex scenes spelled out in great detail -- multiple partners, multiple orifices -- you might want to skip book 3 and just go to book 4, if you've already listened to 1 and 2 in the series. The first two books are fun. Three and four are strewn with moaning and sex, alternating with a serious as death mission to hell. See my review of book 3 and 4. The first two books were great - if the author had continued on with the same sassy, woman in control, "prove you are worth my affection" attitude, even with the mission to hell, and continued requiring the men to learn to treat her as an adult capable of rational thought and reasoning, and then finished off book 4 with her acceptance of them and the sexual activities, I'd have five starred all four books all around even with the funky submissive sex … luckily, book four completed the series, as I don't think I could have waded through any more "I love pain" comments, whining for sex, biting til the partner bleeds, etc etc to get to the (actually very satisfactory) conclusion of the book series in book 4.
