Good story

The characters are relatable but the story lags a bit and takes some slow turns. SPOILERS AHEAD. I wish there wasn’t such a gap between the main characters falling in love and becoming boyfriends, separated and then back together in the last few pages. Needed to have more of them together

Just ok

Overall just ok, it never got to a point beyond the basics. it left me wanting more, and not in a good way. It lacked in the emotion for the love story and drama for the action. Just "ok".

Great Story

So, the story was great, the performance was a little too breathe. I will believe it wasn't because of the narrator. I do have believe that I might have gotten a bad take from the studio, when I bought this audible book. If amazon/audible can contact me with instruction on getting a better audio take for this narration that would be awesome.

A Lukewarm Love Story

This book was… okay. I’d be lying if I said that I hadn’t been expecting more. The premise is interesting, but it’s just not that well executed. A lot of the narrative is driven merely by coincidence, and there are a lot of cliches… an experiment gone wrong, an evil corporation behind it all, and a group of kids banding together to tear it all down. The characters were likable enough, but I didn’t find myself rooting for Dylan all that much.

In regards to the audio quality… there are several points throughout the recording where the narrator’s breathing can be heard. It’s very distracting. I’ve never experienced that with an Audible file before. Just a head’s up for those that are going to listen!

High expectations for such a bad delivery

I’m not one to give bad reviews, honestly.
I started to listen to The Temperature of Me and You after seeing the writer talk about it on Tiktok. I found out that Disney bought the rights to make it a series adaptation for it and just made me want to listen it even more. A queer adaptation made BY Disney sounds like something unreal that we have all been waiting for.

~SPOILER ALERT ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️~

There were many unfinished ideas that unfortunately just really didn’t make sense. At times it felt extremely rushed and at others way too slow, it lacks a good balance.

The letdown starts with how Zepka rushes into Jordan’s attraction towards Dylan. He just met the boy and explodes an ice cream because he was too excited and wanted to get to know him? Following that, we have Dylan chasing after him and accepting to walk a complete stranger, that just melted a cup with his fingers, home?
There are, obviously, great moments in this book. The character development of Savannah is heartwarming and the professor not thinking twice on accepting being part of the GSA are great examples of it.

~ SPOILER ENDS ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️~

Aside from the microphones issues, Gibson made a great delivery of every character voice and their personalities.
I will definitely watch the series in hopes Disney can make some repairs to Zepka’s story.

On par with the last season of GOT, disappointing

Sadly this book didn’t meet expectations. Like the last season of GOT, a lot of wasted character development for a rushed SPOILER ALERT, they get together at the end.
