Publisher's summary

Would it surprise you to know that Joanna Gaines, Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein, Oprah, Jerry Seinfeld, C. S. Lewis, Max Lucado, and Meryl Streep are all introverts? Even though introverts make up half the population, most people still don't fully understand what it means to be one.

Research shows the qualities introverts may see as struggles can be their greatest strengths. Introverts don't need to act more like extroverts to thrive, lead, and make a difference. Instead, they need to truly understand who God created them to be so they can avoid pitfalls like insecurity or anxiety and bravely offer their gifts to the world.

In this transformative book, Holley Gerth dives into the brain science behind introversion to help you understand the psychological, relational, and spiritual aspects of being an introvert. She explores how introverts can make meaningful connections, experience quiet confidence, cultivate soul-filling solitude, exercise unexpected influence, and much more.

If you're an introvert, or if you love, lead, or share life with an introvert, you need this empowering, insightful book!

I need the book.

This was a great book but I can see needing the physical copy to use the information to the full potential.

Best on this topic!

I think this is the best book that I have read on this topic. Holly is extremely well read, and the book is extremely well referenced. On top of her terrific book, I now have a huge list of books that she has quoted from that. I also would like to look up income benefit from. I love all of Hollys quizzes and tests. I feel like she really gets me, really understands me, and I love how she treats subject for the wisdom of scripture.

Disappointed with Audible Version

This was not a book that fit well with the Audible format. There were too many lists, quizzes, etc that couldn’t really be done while walking and listening.

I also thought it was a little off over the top on Christian religious philosophy.

I did enjoy the other book the author wrote on introversion a great deal. That was also on Audible.

Great content difficult listen

This book is a wonderful resource for everyone whether introvert or extrovert. I purchased the paperback version for my introverted daughter and am looking forward to talking to her about the material. However, it was difficult to listen to this audio version. The author seems to be a wonderful person but the “performance/reading” wasn’t up to the standards I’m used to on Audible.

Returned the book

Don’t like the religious approach the book takes but I could have gone through with it because I am happy to listen to opinions that differ from mine. But the voice of the narrator really “triggered” me - for sure she wrote a book that appeals to many people, but maybe finding the money for a narrator with a more suitable voice would have been an option?

Interesting subject, listening is difficult

I've no doubt that this book would be very interesting for me, as I am and have always been an introvert. I appreciate Holley Gerth having written it. However, listening to it proved too difficult due to reader prosody. It's funny, but due to my introversion and my overly sensitive sense of hearing, it physically agitates me to listen to this book. I find my mind wandering and I can't seem to stay interested. I believe I will need to purchase the book and read it myself.

Just a long essay on what an introvert is

Not very deep. Does not live up to the title and is more just a book that seeks to define what an introvert IS more than anything else. If you already know what an internet is, you do not need to read this book.
