Not into the vibe
The characters were well developed. The story was somewhat predictable on the love interests. I was hoping for some twists and turns. The vibe of the occult was a little strange but I see how it played into the story. Just not my style.

Beautiful story
Beautiful story of lost generations, hurt, forgiveness, and love. I truly loved the story but struggled with the performance.
I recommend it. If you can’t get past the performance then definitely give the hard copy book a chance.

captivating, mystery, murder, magic
The narrarator used a very distracting breathy whisper that took away from the main character. As if the voice contradicted the personality. It was weird. I was able to ignore it most of the book as the character developed in my mind. There were also many times I got aggravated.

Wonderful
I bought this because I had it in my wish list and it went on sale. At first I wasn’t that into it but just kept at it and it was one of those feel good books. If you like Nora To were this is very similar

The story went on and on and on; it needed at least four hours shaved off of it. I’m not sure I was thrilled with the narrator either. I was really interested in the beginning, and then it just kept falling flat.

Excellent book
I loved the story plot of this book! It was suspenseful, entertaining, tearful and joyful. It kept you guessing and wondering what would happen next. The characters were very enjoying and somewhat unique. I would recommend this book!
