Great book to read or listen to

I was hooked. Listened to this book throughout the day. Every chance I had, I listened to another chapter. Before I knew it, I finished the entire book in a day. The anticipation of each chapter was intense causing me to want to know more. Very enjoyable!

Not my favorite

Not my favorite. Very hard to listen to the main character. She was very ignorant.

Holy Twist!!!

I usually figure it out right away. Thought I had it, but was wrong, a few times. lol Very twisty. Definitely recommend.

Freida did it again!

Narrator was great - It was nice getting through an audio book without feeling any kind of awkwardness. That's one great thing about Freida's books being so well written, they don't need to be any graphic details on any random love affairs. (: Characters were easy to follow/keep up with. Wonderful twist, kept me guessing and changing my mind several times throughout. A great thriller.

Good read-despite the main character🙄….

I fully enjoyed this audio book, despite the simple minded main character, as well as the
Facts inference to correctional facility’s. I worked BOP, as well state for over 25 yrs, and some things that were referenced about the facility were dead wrong. No cell phones for staff as well as contractors allowed behind the grills, only exceptions, the Wardens. We are NOT guards, but CO’s, AND she could not have gotten a job there, because she testified against him🙄… I am not going to go into all of the misconceptions, too many, BUT also the way the narrator pronounced penitentiary, drove me nuts!
But, alas, I STILL enjoyed the story line, and if not for the misinformation, as well as the simple minded main character, would have been 5 stars across the board.

Wow!

this was suspenseful up to the end! the end was like a mic drop! I would listen to this book again!

Wow… did not see that coming!

The ending… the twists had me all over the place. I thought for sure I had figure it out, but not even a chance. This was great from beginning to end.
The main character got on my nerves on how easily she kept jumping back with each guy. She seemed a bit naive at times. I became frustrated that she kept ignoring the red flags that she admitted to seeing.

Overall, I loved it. It only took me a few days to finish this book because I needed to know.

I did not agree with the previous reviews about the narrator. The word “penitentiary” was only mentioned a few times and definitely not enough to bug me.

Ending was the best part.

I had a hard time listening to the majority of this book. The last 2 hours was probably the best out of the whole book. Ending wasn’t what I was expecting.

I’m addicted!

Omg this is my second book reading by her & she never steers me wrong! It’s always a good twist plus I’m a huge fan of psychological thriller!

just didn't love this one. it's ok though because I would still recommend it and won't deter me from buying more from Ms. McFadden.
