A Ranger is Forged

The next chapter in the war against Sût the Undying and the Nether Sorcerer unfolds against the backdrop of what it takes to become a US Army Ranger.

The Rangers' next objective takes them on an odyssey of desperate survival and relentless combat through the Desert of Sleep, a savage and strange land...and a gateway to hell. Here the forces of darkness fester, here the elements of the Rangers must go on the ultimate patrol, and here is where the End War begins.

Fantastic

Loved the book as always, great action and attention to detail! The AAR was like someone telling my own life story, BCT and airborne 77, air assault 78, met Mike Kelso in 79, jump master school in 80, got out , got back in 82 in SF, ranger school in 83, SF school in 84, commissioned in 84 regular infantry, 4 tours in Iraq, retired in 2012! Rangers lead the Way! Mad Mac

The Book of Joe

I am a fan of Jason and Nick, especially the universe, and characters, Jason created for the Galaxy’s Edge series. In my opinion, The Book of Joe, is the finest example of character development and dramatic action presented thus far. It’s a pretty long listen on Audible but it flies by as the authors effortlessly help you become invested in these characters, I didn’t want it to end and am looking forward to the next installment. I highly recommend The Book of Joe.
Regards,
Sam Thompson

Wild ride

A wild ride from start to finish! Love how this story is progressing. Great writing and narration as always.
The AAR is also the best one so far. It was awesome hearing from Ranger legend, "Mad" Max Mullen! Great stories he had to tell!

need more coffee for that last star

Think this was about the best book yet in the series. Now could of used a bit more coffee but a ranger is going to ranger regardless.

Incredible…Again

This book was absolutely incredible! I cannot say enough about how Jason Anspach and Nick Cole are able to convey the perspectives of Soldiers and Warriors into meaningful words. I found myself recalling when and where I had many of the same thoughts decades ago. I thoroughly enjoy. JA and NC tell me stories I want to hear and enjoy. I actively anticipate (if there is such a concept) every single one of their releases, whether it is Galaxy’s Edge, Forgotten Ruin, or a “side gig”. These are authors with whom I likely have shared experiences and tell me a story in a fashion I “feel”. Yes, Tyrus’s appearance was an incredible surprise. JA & NC can crossover whomever they want because this is not only Sci-Fi and Fantasy, this is their universe and I am happy to to sit down, shut up, and enjoy the ride. Actually, it feels more like changing my socks, tightening, my boot laces, shrugging on the ruck, situating the ‘60, and putting one foot in front of the other. Oh, one more thing, please keep adding the interviews at the end of each book, please. They hit home, ‘nuf said.

10 hour book, but only really 8

these authors have started producing shorter and shorter books but compensate by attaching "free previews" of other books at the end. 100% not worth a credit and at this point I'll only buy their books of they're on sale for $5 or less.

Worth Every Dollar

This is the 2nd best book in the series so far. If not for the originality of Book 1 in it’s genre, I’d call this my favorite. Regardless, it was great to have some content that was just about Talker and SGT Joe, as opposed to the previous books that includes all the Rangers. It provided opportunity for Talker to pull his head out of his ass, stop moping, and really grow as a character and Ranger. Loved it. Narration is as stellar as all the previous books. Highly recommended for fans of the Forgotten Ruin series.
