Publisher's summary

Experience this special edition of The Black Echo, Michael Connelly’s award-winning crime novel narrated by Titus Welliver, star of the Bosch series on Amazon Prime Video - includes an exclusive bonus interview with the author and the actor featuring insider info and more.

For maverick LAPD homicide detective Harry Bosch, the body in the drainpipe at Mulholland Dam is more than another anonymous statistic. This one is personal...because the murdered man was a fellow Vietnam "tunnel rat" who had fought side by side with him in a hellish underground war. Now Bosch is about to relive the horror of Nam. From a dangerous maze of blind alleys to a daring criminal heist beneath the city, his survival instincts will once again be tested to their limit. Pitted against enemies inside his own department and forced to make the agonizing choice between justice and vengeance, Bosch goes on the hunt for a killer whose true face will shock him.

"Michael Connelly is the master of the universe in which he lives, and that is the sphere of crime thrillers." - Huffington Post.

Mastermind?

All along I was tying the pieces together, working the crime alongside Bosche. I paid attention to his clues and I got all the culprits right as they revealed themselves and their crime ...until the end. I love Mr. Connelly’s books and Mr. Welliver’s Audible portrayal of Bosche and the other characters makes the story so visual.

Bonus content is awesome

The prologue regarding the history and significance of detective novel got me thinking about structure until Titus started reading, and I forgot all about the academic stuff. The interview at the end was FUN!

I love this series!

The Black Echo is a page turner featuring Detective Harry Bosch, a very complex character who pushes back on the small minds and redtape of the LAPD brass. Great character development and plot, plus a surprise ending. Titus Welliver IS Harry Bosch.

Excellent

The Black Echo is an excellent book. Solid writing. I love how Connelly writes the characters and his descriptive scene setting. Didn’t see the end coming but it was definitely plausible. No complaints. Having Titus Welliver as narrator was a terrific addition. Ready now to read The Black Ice.

Enjoyed watching all 7 seasons of Bosch. Now, ready for the books—though not expecting the books the same as the series. I expect to enjoy each medium for both their similarities and differences.

First book I have read from Michael Connelly

I listened to this book in less than a week driving back and forth to work! I couldn’t stop until it was over I love Titus Welliver’s voice. I would buy any audiobook he narrates. Especially in the Bosch series.
Story by the author Mr Connelly was captivating! Look forward to next book which I just downloaded and will start immediately after I post this review!

More Titus Welliver please

This is the fifth Bosch series book that I have listened to narrated by Titus Welliver in the past 2 months. The books are great and with Titus narrating I can picture the book in my head as I am listening. It has been a great way to supplement the lack of new Bosch tv episodes. Plus, I love that I can listen to the books during long road trips, cooking dinner, or just relaxing on my couch after the kids go to bed. Thank you Amazon for putting this together with one of older books in the Bosch series.
