Amazing

I loved this book so much and to have it come to life the way it did was fantastic! I loved the switches roles as it is not something I am use to. I think it truly adds to the experience when you have a female voice and male voice as strong as these two. The chemistry was amazing!

This is such a fantastic audiobook. The dual narration was so great and really brought the story to life. I loved the performances by both narrators. This story is gripping, gut-wrenching and emotional. This couple has so many issues and demons that must be overcome. Their struggle is long and arduous but so worth it. Start listening to this audiobook today!

Zeta and Ryder friendship began while they were on Juvenile detention. Their lobe of music bonded them together.

Just wow…what a story. It was soo complete..you really felt like you were there with Ryder and Zeta through it all. Yes, some of it is hard to read…so make sure you read Siobhan’s note at the beginning of the book. So many obstacles to overcome…and so many mental and emotional challenges for the two of them…but they were meant to be together. And having Lucas in the story really was important…another tragic early life to help heal. Siobhan always tackles serious life issues in the most informative ways. Great 5 star read…and I listened to the audiobook too and it was well done and enhanced the story which is not always the case.

I must say, that opening scene will punch you in the gut repeatedly and then some. That has stayed with me even after reading the book. It literally packs a powerful punch and it could be triggering. Please read the note at the start of the book before reading.

As we all know, if you have read a book by this author before, she does not hold back and this could not be more true with this book. Hands down, this is one of my favourite reads for this year.

This book does not and could not hold a candle to any other book I have read this year.

Perfect for readers of contemporary romances.

The narrators are captivating. You could feel all the emotions and experience it through their voice. Amazing!

Absolutely Perfect!

I LOVED THIS BOOK! Seriously. What a fantastic story. Is it angsty? Yeah, a little. But not in an overly dramatic, "woah is me", way. Feelings, all appropriate to what is happening, are acknowledged, felt, and dealt with... sometimes in healthy ways, sometimes not so much. Even those times are dealt with. There is no real wallowing here. It's fantastic. I fell for each of the characters in their own right. The duet narration is spot on and both narrator's did an amazing job. Perfect. Worth every minute.

Siobhan Davis rips my heart out and tears it into a million pieces before putting it back together again. This is a story that will stay with you for a very long time, it is moving like no other and the twists and turns may give you whiplash, but it is one journey worth taking, Ryder and Zeta’s journey. This is a masterfully plotted story, Ms. Davis starts the story with them meeting in juvenile detention serving sentences for the crimes they committed. Ryder has been there for a while and does not speak of why, Zeta is a newcomer, lets it slip why only to survive in that dog eat dog world. The two bonded, Ryder leaves before her and promised to visit and wait for her. After promises and hearts are broken, both go on with their lives. Ryder became a famous rock star and Zeta, who was interested in writing music, lost her muse for that but still chose a writing career, just not writing music. Eight years later, Zeta finds herself at one of Ryder’s band’s shows filling in for a coworker that was supposed to cover the show and interview the band. She tried not to be seen and hoped she did not run into him, but fate had other plans. I am a huge fan or rockstar romance novels, and Ryder and his bandmates are typical bad boy rock stars. Ryder, a man whore, only loved one woman, the one he could not have, but once he sees her again, he never wants to let her go. Zeta is not very forgiving but after hearing him out she warms up to him, in truth, he was the only one she ever loved. These two were similar in many ways, broken in many ways too, but they are better together than apart. This is a beautiful second chance romance, the layers and complexity of the characters and storylines are phenomenal. There is plenty of drama, angst, twists and turns, thrilling and suspenseful moments, highly emotional in the most gut wrenching and heartrending of ways. Siobhan Davis, thank you for another captivating, heartfelt story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Siobhan Davis chose the perfect cast to bring her characters and their story to life. Ramona Master and Wen Ross are talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They have a complete understanding of the characters they portray, give each a voice that fits that character’s person to a tee and were believable in every role they play sounding just as I pictured the characters to sound. You could hear how much heart these two put into their performance as they captured all the characters’ emotions. Ramona Master absolutely nailed it as Zeta, Wen Ross did the same for Ryder, both were great playing the roles of the secondary characters as well. These two are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fantastic listen.

A favorite!

I have been on a roll listening to Siobhan Davis's Books. They have all been amazingly dark, angsty, and emotionally driven. The storylines are great and the characters well written. Becoming invested in the characters and storyline is easy. Listening to the heartwrenching scenes is difficult. This standalone is most definitely a favorite. of mine. It's a second chance, Rockstar trope. The vulnerabilities of the characters, their strengths...spoke to me. It's definitely character driven.

Wen Ross and Ramona Master are excellent narrators. They were perfect for this book. Such emotional performances. I didn't want to pause the audio! It rolled like a movie in my head.
