Skylar annoyed me throughout

I loved the idea of this series and I really wanted to like it. However, Skylar is the most annoying lead character in any book I have ever read - and her character never grows! She is a judgmental, selfish, petulant brat whose self-absorption continually places others at risk. She sees herself as an independent woman but is actually an immature adult who regularly throws tantrums. Her best quality is her ability to give a tongue lashing anytime someone dares to think differently than she.

The narrator wasn’t horrible, but not great either. What sent me to a 2 rating was the 4th book where you repeatedly hear her swallow. It was so gross.

Should be a Movie

I Loved it! I Can't wait to read the next three! I would love to see this as a Movie 🍿!!!!

Completely Engrossing

The story line, the characters, the dynamics growing and changing. Its a great story and listen. I've already downloaded the 5th book.

can't keep up.

I finally gave up at book 2 chapter 7. very hard to follow and know what's going on. there is no difference between the characters and time passing. I am more lost then anything else. they introduce to meny elements to quickly which also made it very hard for me to follow. I'm very disappointed to have spent credits on both box sets.

A Man this book on me almost piss me off

You really intrigued me very suspenseful and awesome books but I was getting really pissed cause I thought there was only 4 books but I found the 5th through 7th you're a great artist thank you so much For your writings in these beautiful books thank you so much

a great series!! all packed with adventure, romance, thrill, excitement and sadness... holding you to the edge waiting and begging you for the results!!

I originally liked it but now

When I first heard this series I liked it, but now I’m listening to it for a second time and the first book is so cringy. Skylar is so immature it’s actually painful to listen to. The constant ease dropping, judging attitude, whining she doesn’t like the violence but then spies and puts herself in the middle of the violence then whines when she could of just stayed out of it, the constant temper tantrums. Then not to mention the random talkings of Stephen being “young” he’s much more mature then she is. Eye roll

Overall it wasn’t horrible

I listened to all 7 books, the last two definitely were the most interesting and had my attention more. I turned the speed up to 1.25 because the narration was definitely too slow for me.
The narrator would drive me crazy at times where you could tell a difference in her voice and mouth noises at others.

Blow Your Nose!

This narrator is awful and her monotonous delivery is almost as annoying as her stuffy nose. Does she have allergies and recorded this in the Spring? Who signs off on this? It’s unlistenable and SO boring, especially considering her lack of inflection. Glad I only listened as part of an Audible Plus subscription because no way I finish these books.
