Rogues to Riches

A large group of people enters the Rutledge Historical Society to see the new and much anticipated 1950s murder exhibit. After viewing the display, the group exits the building leaving two people behind. A few minutes later, one of the two is shot dead in front of the exhibit and the other one rushes out the back door and escapes. Was the perpetrator one of the group or was it the old woman’s daughter who has only a very weak (and stinky) alibi? Or could it have been someone else? Lorry, convinced the new murder is connected to the old one, decides to look into the past to find the culprit. But with a wedding to plan, who has time to find a murderer? Sassy, irreverent Lorry Lockharte, that’s who. (Includes two recipes!).

Very enjoyable series

I only have a few comments, and they aren’t harsh ones.
The main character seems a bit childish in her behaviors sometimes. Also, Billy is a saint for putting up with her behavior at times.

The narrator needs to rework her voice of a seven year old. It doesn’t sound like any seven year old I know, especially one as intelligent as Aiden is supposed to be.

I enjoyed the series though, and would recommend it.

cozy mysteries which captured my heart

Loved the characters and the plots even though they were simple. I became enamored with this set and will read more of her writing.

Couldn’t get through first chapter

The narrator was awful and the story was cheesy. I’m so annoyed that I wasted a credit on this.

Only Cozy Mystery Ever I Hated

The word I find best describes this series is insipid, although preachy and hypocritical also fit. My biggest regret, beyond the fact that I listened to it as long as I did, was that I could not return it since I bought it on sale. The narration was fine except for the young child voice which really was cringy. There are plenty of interesting cozy mysteries so don't waste your time on this series.
