Publisher's summary

Welcome to Hell. Literally. The Hell where the Prince of Darkness is hotter than Hades, Hell Hounds smell like brownies, and the Seven Deadly Sins are addicted to Facebook.... Not to mention the soundtrack in the Underworld is Journey. For real.

I should have known no good could come from offing my parents in the space of 20 minutes no matter how psychotic and evil they were.... Now I find out my family tree includes almost every deity and mythological being alive while Ethan, the one and only love of my undead life, has a limited time down under before he turns to dust.

In the land of Sin, you'd think I'd get some nookie time with my man, but no. Baby Demons, cousins, and grandparents put the kibosh on that. Blue balls are the new normal. What the hell does a half-Vampyre/half-Demon have to do to catch a break? Apparently find a freakin' sword, calm Mother Nature's unmedicated mood swings, and make sure Mr. Rogers keeps his sticky fingers to himself during weekly poker with the Devil. And I have three days to do it. By all that's unholy, I thought Ethan's Vampyre family was crazy.... Trust me, they have nothing on the Demons.

Love! Love! Love Astrid and Ethan!

Down Under is an adventure full of new characters that are crazy, sexy, insane, and hilarious! And OH MY, the sex, and banter between Astrid and Ethan was HOT! Who knew a trip to hell could be so funny!

Jessica Almasy's performance rocked! She captures Astrid's personality and voice perfectly and Ethan's voice.....sexy! Well done!

I never thought I would fall in love with a story that was so "out there" and "insanely funny" but I did. However, some may be turned off by the langue but I'm not easily offended. I feel this story deserves all five stars ~ Great Story, Spot on Performance and just Awesome All Around.

If you love stories on the fun side with snarky, sassy, sexy characters that are over the top, and an unusual plot, this story will not disappoint. It was worth a credit, and the time you will spend laughing will be worth it!

TOO MANY W T F's MADE THIS A 3.5 BUT STILL GOOD!

Would you consider the audio edition of Fashionably Dead Down Under to be better than the print version?

I think audio is always the best!!

Would you be willing to try another book from Robyn Peterman? Why or why not?

Oh I am going to finish this series when I get a chance..and I already bought book 1 of her witchy series....I like Funny authors!

Have you listened to any of Jessica Almasy’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, book 1...she fits the character of Astrid very well...

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

no...but book 1 was.. this one was not as well written..too many repeat phrases ansd the term W T F was used like 100 times...and it gets old...I am not a 16 yr old girl...sorry...there are tons of other slang curses that can be used...

Any additional comments?

I like Robyn's comedic voice...and I do like the setting of this series...but I was not super impressed with this 2nd book...I liked it enough...but i am a bit disappointed....I super loved book 1...with that said I will continue the series when I get a chance...especially if I catch it on sale...This author did intrigue me enough to buy ook 1 in her Witch series...I love witches...so I have confidence that Robyn will thrill me again...I have heard differing opinions of Astrid...and her love of Prada and high end clothing and items does not bother me...maybe she is a bit materialistic...but she has a good heart..I like her and Ethan together and her baby demons crack me up...I like the hell settings with Satan and God being brothers...I like the comedic religious undertones of this story...it doesn't bother me a bit...you cant take it so seriously...and I think it was very creative...I really like DIxie..and I think her book is next...as I said above 3.5 stars and it was a super fun listen!!!

I love this series.

I love these books and especially how the relationship between Astrid and Ethan is portrayed. There is so much love there. Ethan is so honest and open and Astrid is the insecure sex pot. Their dichotomy is priceless, I laugh out loud and sometimes my brain has to stop and catch up to Robyn's pace but somehow it just works,

There is no voice in modern paranormal romance like Robyn Peterman. She writes with a tender hand while at the same time breaking land speed records on doling out plot. Even evil characters are felt for and sometimes their day of reckoning is bittersweet. Astrid in Hell is hilarious but Hell is this what you think and the side characters are almost as funny as the main ones. I am especially looking forward to more Dixie! Something tells me she is one to watch!

My only issue with the narration is sometimes the male voices leave me cold but it didn't take away from the story.
5 stars overall.

I laughed my butt off...

Fashionably Dead Down Under...
This is the second book in the Hot Damned Series. I laughed my butt off through out this book. It is a very humorous paranormal romance. Through this book, we get to experience the world of the Undead. We have vampires, demons, Satan and God in it, along with many more characters that we all have heard of. With Ethan and Astrid, everyday is always an adventure. I particularly love the little monster demons (Astrid's babies). These little characters will have you rolling on the floor!

The author, Robyn Peterman did a fantastic job writing this book. Great plot, colorful characters and a guardian angel (Pam) with a sailors mouth. Even the sex is hotter than Hades! The narrator, Jessica Almasy once again delivers a flawless delivery to us complete with wonderful voices and perfect timing with the humor! So far, I have read both books 1 & 2 and they are both 5 stars reads. What a great series!

I received this audio book as a gift so I can read it and leave a honest and unbiased review.

Hilarious

In her snarky, outrageously funny style, Peterman has created another hilarious masterpiece! Romantic comedy at its finest!

Another fun adventure for Astrid. If Robyn Peterman will write, I will read! And now I can listen. I know I won't be disappointed!

One of my favorites in awhile.

The story was terrific. Timing of events just right. And I loved the narrator. I rarely submit an expanded review but this is worth it. And I go through a lot of stories, frequently purchasing several a month.

Very Funny!!

Any additional comments?

This is such a fun book; this is the second book in the Fashionably Dead: Hot Damned series written by Robyn Peterman and narrated by Jessica Almasy. Once I started listening to it I didn’t want to put it down until the end. This book is great, it is laugh out loud funny. Astrid is dragged to Hell and Satan has a mission for her. She finds out that her family tree includes almost every deity and mythological being alive. The book is full of insane and hilarious characters.

The narrator Jessica Almasy did a great job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to in one sitting and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end.

If you are looking for a great book with great characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.

A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Loving hell

I am now addicted. I need more of Astrid, Ethan, and the rest of these crazy people. I love the wit and sarcasm that this story is full of. Sarcasm is an art that not everyone understands or appreciates, but it is fun.
I loved the array of Astrid's family and how they all intermingle. There was such an array of emotions that were wrung out of Astrid and in turn out of each reader as it was read. I thoroughly enjoyed the mix of humor, sharp wit, mystery, and of course all the gorgeous people and hot smexy times. What a great way to spend my time than with this book.
The narration was beautiful. To pull off successfully the array of people in this story and still be believable is a feat well done. I have listened to many stories and am glad when I can listen and be pulled into the story and not spend time paying attention to the person changing their tone.
