On New Year's Eve, Rhys Lloyd has a house full of guests. His vacation homes on Mirror Lake are a success, and he's generously invited the village to drink champagne with their wealthy new neighbors. But by midnight, Rhys will be floating dead in the freezing waters of the lake. On New Year's Day, Ffion Morgan has a village full of suspects. The tiny community is her home, so the suspects are her neighbors, friends and family—and Ffion has her own secrets to protect. With a lie uncovered at every turn, soon the question isn't who wanted Rhys dead . . . but who finally killed him.

The story of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is very difficult to describe. Usually we give some information about the audiobook, but in this case we think that would spoil the listening. We think it's important that you start to listen without knowing what it is about.

Critic reviews
"Chilling and clever, with a twist so sharp you’ll get whiplash. Rock Paper Scissors is the kind of blistering one-sit read that Alice Feeney is just so incredibly good at." (Chris Whitaker, author of We Begin at the End)
"Deliciously dark.... An exquisitely constructed, hugely entertaining thriller.... I loved it." (Catherine Ryan Howard, author of The Nothing Man)
"A perfectly-plotted thriller that hooked me from the opening scene.... A scissor-sharp portrayal of a marriage on the rocks. Atmospheric, entertaining and clever." (Philippa East, author of Safe and Sound)
"Not just fiendish but positively Feeneyish - dark, ingenious and very clever." (Cara Hunter, author of Close to Home)
"A cleverly crafted novel with a grand twist." (Stella magazine)

Unexpected turn
At first I didn’t know what to expect but the story caught me. Towards the end things fall in to place (trying so hard not to spoil things). The author sure has a vivid and twisted imagination! The narration by the talented Richard Armitage was amazing as always. I struggled a bit with the female narration due to her way of speaking.

Underwhelmed
Definitely in the minority, but my truth is that this book was enormously flat. The hype around the book certainly contributed to the "ridiculously high expectations" trope, yet even without the din, the plot and writing is mediocre at best

Too many loose ends
It seemed as if the author started writing 3 different versions of one story and forgot to tie up all the loose ends after deciding on a final version.
