Publisher's summary

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Aurora Rose Reynolds comes a bittersweet romance about the risks and rewards of falling in love.

Everly never expected to move back in with her parents, and she definitely didn’t expect to do so as a single mother. But with the father of her son suddenly out of the picture, she’s had to make some adjustments to her plans.

Now Everly has one priority: to make a life for herself and her boy. And Blake, her sometimes infuriating but admittedly handsome employer at Live Life Adventures, doesn’t factor into her future as anything more than her boss.

But it seems the guy who’s about as friendly as a grizzly bear has a soft spot for her and her son...and the more time she spends with him, the more difficult it is to remember why giving in to the chemistry between them is a bad idea.

Now, with their future on the line, they’ll have to decide if love is a risk worth taking.

Loved this sweet story

This book is the second book in the Adventures in Love series, but can be read as a standalone. Everly, Blake and baby Sampson were just perfect for this story. This story is about love, loss, and learning how to find yourself. Everly a single mom tries to juggle life and the hurdles it has thrown her way. Blake is a grumpy guy due to certain life circumstances but, he has a big heart. I love the banter they have with each other as the story progresses. The change that we see in both Everly and Blake. The trust they build, the way that they are better together. The way she centers Blake, shows him what he has been missing in his life. She makes him feel alive. Love to see friends and family from the previous book make appearances. And, little Sampson. He stole the show. He’s so sweet.

The narrators Avie Page and Oliver Clarke did a phenomenal job. They transitioned so well between the different characters. Easy to listen to.

Risking it all

I love Aurora’s books and this series had me addicted from the start. Risky is book 2 but can be read as a standalone. I loved every second of Everly and Blake’s story. It’s a cute AF workplace romance with a grumpy grizzly bear of a hero and a sweet independent single mom.

The chemistry between these pages and characters had me enthralled from start to finish. Blake is hot and grumpy but sure knows how to be charismatic and loving. And he was a goner as much for Everly ad well as her little boy. I loved the sweet and simple moments, the laugh out loud and swoony moments, as well as the emotion filled moments and there was plenty of all of the above. Everly doesn’t have it easy in her predicament and neither does Blake but once they’re able to work together and open up it’s just beautiful

I’m obsessed with this world and can’t wait for the next book! The Audio was perfect and sensational in my ears

Blake

With Great Risk Comes Great Reward

Finding out why Blake was so grumpy was heartbreaking, I need more answers. I love the ease Blake had with Sampson. Their bond was immediate. Way to be a great mom Everly.

Great Series! Great Characters! Wonderfully done!

I enjoy this series! Blake..Oh Blake you are a special guy! Granted you come off grumpy but eventually you see the light and become the great man we all are proud of. Everly is a sweetie! And her son? Adorable! I loved their scenes together!

Secondary characters are just fun! I mean Maverick, Tanner and Cybil..they all have that wonderful friend camaraderie going on that is a joy to read/listen. Blake’s family was fun and yet sad at the same time. I was pleased they were all so open to Everly and Sampson.

Overall the story is heartbreaking, fun and filled with so many cute moments. The characters are very life-like and adorable that is what makes they stories rise up to the next level. I did listen to this on audio. Avie Page and Oliver Clarke are both new to me narrators. They each did a wonderful job making me believe they are the characters. Nicely done and I can’t wait for Mavericks story!

heartwarming

Blake & Everly: triggers: child abandonment, cancer. Everly has to move back home with her parents after finding out her baby daddy was cheating and doesn't want to be a father. After relocating, she needs a job and ends working for Blake and his friends in their adventure business. Slowly Blake and Everly begin to fall in love while dealing with everything else with their family and friends. A health diagnosis, pushy grandparents, absentee fathers and a grandma getting her groove back. This book was sexy and fun. Love it.

Loved this story

I loved Blake and Everly’s story so much and I swooned every time Blake and Everly’s young son, Sampson had scenes together. I also liked that Blake and Everly were each other’s support system as they were each dealing with some personal stuff. Narrators did a wonderful job bringing the characters, emotions and story to life.
