Story
Eli suddenly wakes up on a metal table before getting tossed into the middle of a magical, monster-infested forest. If that wasn't bad enough, the experimental technology in his head is acting up, causing all sorts of problems, and the nearest medical specialist might as well be a universe away. Thankfully, Eli has some magic he's learning to use, which should help him survive in this dangerous new world. Eyes of the Sign is the first book in a series focused on the sequestered world of Lurra. This LitRPG (Gamelit) story offers epic world-building with plenty of mysteries to be uncovered, ...

Damien Mitchell awakens in a fantasy world, with no idea of how or why. It turns out he’s in a lifelike video game, which would be great! Except he’s a peon. Seems the powers-that-be are messing with his destiny, and the best way to bring him down is to throw him into the quarry, where he’s to spend his days mining – at least until the mysterious race, the Seraphyt, comes along. And they've been waiting a long time to get their hands on him. If Damien wants to discover his destiny, he’s got to overthrow and conquer the village Nythera with the only help he can get – other peons....

An alien cat turned me into a superweapon. I was homeless on the streets of Third York when it happened. Then the military arrived and gave me a choice. Enlist or die. The next thing I knew, I was fighting giant robots at the Xenoforce Academy's boot camp. Figuring out superpowers and energy levels was hard enough, but I had to deal with a mind-reading alien princess, a team of gorgeous women, and a femme fatale in charge of the whole operation. Oh, and a galactic conspiracy is threatening all of humanity. It's up to me and my new feline friend to set things right. A civil war's brewing on ...

Lacks Basic Plot Structure
Rather than being a novel that takes place in a game world setting, the author seems intent on explaining the minutiae of that world - even when it is not relevant. For example, I listened to a ton of description about the gaming pod and a tutorial the protagonist went through in order to play. The author describes the movement as clunky, but the moment a fight starts, he's moving fast and fluidly.
Basically, the author wanted to write about a game he wishes existed.

Good story line, poor AI narration. Do not think I'll continue the series. hope AI improves if they continue to use it for story narration
