Publisher's summary

Fact 384 - Pirates aren't princes, they're extortionists.

I never claimed to be a good girl. So when the feds showed up, there was only one choice. Run.

Turns out my plan wasn't fool proof. One tiny, little, accidental murder lands me in hot water not just with the human government, but with the elven equivalent of the CIA. No one ever said I was lucky.

Shipped off planet, blackmailed, and forced to bootleg for a secret organization is the least of my problems compared to the sexy villains hot on my heels.

They don't know it yet, but I'm going to take them down. Messing with a southern belle with a criminal past was their first mistake. Their second? Giving me a weapon.

Fact 451 - Being bad sometimes feels good.

If you can't get enough of books by K.F. Breene, Annette Marie, Jennifer L. Armentrout, Jaymin Eve, Laura Thalassa, Marissa Meyer, T. A. White, Carysa Locke, Pippa DaCosta, Leia Stone, Jasmin Walt, and Michael Anderle then dive into the complete series Aliens and Alchemists.

Mind the f*cking cliff!

*possible spoilers after first paragraph*

First off I love Vanessa Moyen's narrorations! I haven't listened to any of her narrions I didn't like. Okay, that said, THIS BOOK GUYS!! I love Allie! She is so clumsy, sassy, and sarcastic and it's so great! She isn't a hopeless damsel in distress, which is awesome! She has a temper that ends up scaring the aliens as much, if not more than, their native females and it's hilarious!

*possible spoilers beyond this point*

Allie has anxiety and panic issues and, being someone who suffers from severe anxiety and panic, they were written so perfectly! She is strong but also very vulnerable. The aliens she ends up friending in the first 2 parts are so great! I seriously need a group of friends like them!

My only complaint is that the incident in the very beginning with the 'pirates' was never explained, and if it was I don't remember it. They show up again but nothing is explained about the incident. It makes me NEED to know, I'm just nosey and always need answers.

The twist at the end just about killed me though! I'm so happy I already had the next part bought and downloaded! Mind. The. Cliff. It'll make you scream in utter frustration until you can get to the next part!

Hooked, but wish it were deeper

I got sucked into the story, but was disappointed by the bouncing around of emotions by the main character. The story was too focused on only what was happening to her and not having much to do with what was going on in the world around her. It gave the story a very shallow feel. Not much world building at all. It really felt like it was written by a teenager. I liked the Sci-Fi ideas, but I’m detail oriented, so I kept picking at the logic flaws. I’ll listen to the 2nd part to get the ending, but I’m not sure I’ll read more by this author.
