Great book 📕

👍🏾 great lesson, I love to review and learn from this book. Now I’m just filling words to submit this review. Definitely recommend.

Fun and challenging

One of the most beneficial component of these lessons is that it teaches you simple yet practical conversations that will most likely be used when speaking with someone from Japan.

It was also beneficial for me with the limited amount of time I have. I could easily play it in the car and listen to the lessons on my way to work.

I feel that this was a good foundation for further development.

Pimsleur is great.

The challenge definitely takes a jump up in this one from the last one. I had to do a couple of chapters two days in a row before I felt that I got it well enough to move on, but honestly, I don't see it as a bad thing. I'm also a bit of a perfectionist. I strongly urge the use of these books in tandem with Duolingo because where the books are great on their own, it's really helpful to see the spelling of the words as well.

No way is this a beginner's book

Given that the vocabulary in this book is fairly complex, it is essentially worthless for someone learning the Japanese language for the first time or even at the low intermediate level. It's advantageous if you are advanced or at the very least higher intermediate. Although I consider myself to be at the intermediate level, I found this book to be too challenging.

POOR QUALITY

After studying Japanese for approximately a year at university, I decided to try my hand at this. For me, it's still disappointing.

There are far better Japanese beginner readers available; this book is not a professional product. This purchase was a mistake.
