Publisher's summary

His job is to protect others, but can I trust him to look after my heart?

When I board the flight to Mexico, I can’t wait to leave my old corporate lifestyle behind. After a much-needed sabbatical, I plan to return home and open the coffee shop I’ve always wanted to.

Getting to know the strong, handsome stranger sitting next to me on my flight is an unexpected bonus. And so is our whirlwind holiday romance that leaves me breathless.

Brutus says he wants to continue things back in the real world, but I’m not sure he has room in his life for me, and I’m tired of settling for second best.

I recognize a workaholic when I see one because that used to be me. Brutus is the head of security for one of the country’s richest families, and I’m scared to fall hard for someone who may not be able to put me first.

But just when I’m beginning to trust my feelings, danger from my past comes looking for me. When Brutus steps in to protect me, I know I’m in trouble. Because now my heart is going to need protection as well....

Loved the story

Loved the story...read the book before. Narrators were not very good. Have heard much better in your other stories.

Storyline was great but the narrators 👎🏾

First of all, I’m a fan of Tiffany Patterson. Her books a great. I wish I’d read this book instead of listening to it on audio. The narration was painful.

The female narrator - I hate her “black girl” voice she used when narrating for her sister or cousin. Not all black women talk like that.

The male narrator - It was sooooooooo slow. I had to keep going back and forth to speed up the audio when he was speaking.

Personal Protection

Your own personal body guard? A trip to Mexico? Meeting in Mexico for a dream vacation and whirlwind romance. There's a lot of fun stuff here, tropical locations, mystery, suspense, a good amount of heat, and a lot of heart. Enjoyed the narration.

Child…the narration :-(

I’m somewhat new to Tiffany Patterson but I’m loving her books so far. This one was painful because of the narration. The male narrator wasn’t terrible. But Miss Lacy sounds like she’s doing an impersonation of Jim Carrey impersonating Geraldo Rivera. Looks up an old clip of In Living Color on YouTube to catch the reference.

Cup of joy

I love everything Tiffany writes. This book was really good my only complaint is that I hate Aaron’s voice.

narration needs some help.

Let me start off by saying I love all Tiffany Patterson's work and stories.
I felt the male narrator did a decent job, but the female narrator was way too breathy and with very little inflection. It was hard to keep listening to her. I think it's really important when you're near it to find a pair that compliment each other. These 2 did not.

All Alpha

The story was pretty good, but the narrator's need work. Lacy Laurel is okay until she tries to do a male character , she just needs to read the part , and Dane Anderson has a nice deep voice he reads as if it's his first time.

Love Brutus

Brutus and Mia story was very good. I’m happy he got his own story. Now he will have his own family along with the Townsends.

One word Narration

I recently just found Tiffany Patterson and I wont hold the book against her at all. The over all book isn’t bad it’s the narration that kills it.. I would put this as a read on your own. For me it was a very hard finish. The male narrator made it cringe and the female narrator wasn’t so bad. The chemistry narration of the two didn’t work will at all. Couldn’t keep my attention.
