Publisher's summary
My name is Frank Moon, and I’m surrounded by death.
Until today, I thought I’d seen everything in my time as a cop. Nope, not even close. Believe it or not, a meteor just landed in Central Park! The damn thing brought along a hellish radiation too. The strobing red emission has altered the genetic code of the people who witnessed it enter Earth’s atmosphere. Lucky for me, I was too busy binge-watching my favorite TV show or I would’ve shared their terrible fate.
They turned into living nightmares. They turned into the Unseen.
Now, all I care about is finding my wife. Jill is deep in the heart of the apocalyptic war zone of Manhattan, and there’s nothing that will stop me, besides dying. Dying would definitely stop me.
ORIGIN is the first book in international bestselling author Matt James’ action-packed, post-apocalyptic thriller series, THE UNSEEN.
What Amazon readers are saying about The Unseen:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "I gave it a 5 and would give it a 10 if possible!"
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Lots of action and sarcasm. My kind of story!"
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "The main character is hilarious and sucks you in!"
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Wow! What an action-packed adventure!"

Of course, the word, Zombie, was the most prevalent term of all. The only problem was, these weren’t the Zombies of science fiction and folklore, this was something entirely different. This was an invasion; the complete and utter recolonization of planet earth had begun. As Armies fall and governments collapse, a small pocket of humanity manages to eke out a desperate existence in the Florida ...

Story
Set against the backdrop of the isolated forests north of New Hampshire's White Mountains, while camping on family land, Tom and Lori Thornton (and their dog, Buck) find themselves in a sudden SHTF scenario. No cellular service. Dangerous roads. Limited supplies. And far more questions than answers. After the shocking murder of Tom's uncle by a band of looters, the couple's already faltering marriage reaches the breaking point amid the chaos. Trust and loyalties are challenged, old friendships are put to the test, and immediate answers and solutions elude them.

Fun, but a bit homespun.

Surprising plot...enjoyable characters
The story line and characters are interesting and relatable. While a few of the twists are obvious, most are not. The narration by Virtual.Voice was better than some I have heard.

Either the author can not spell or Ai can not read
What a waste of time so monotone and can not read right or the book was written poorly
