Publisher's summary

First they found themselves On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness. Now they must make their way North! Or Be Eaten....

Janner, Tink, and Leeli Igiby thought they were normal children with normal lives and a normal past. But now they know they're really the Lost Jewels of Anniera, heirs to a legendary kingdom across the sea, and suddenly everyone wants to kill them.

In order to survive, the Igibys must flee to the safety of the Ice Prairies, where the lizardlike Fangs of Dang cannot follow. First, however, they have to escape the monsters of Glipwood Forest, the thieving Stranders of the East Ben, and the dreaded Fork Factory.

But even more dangerous are the jealousies and bitterness that threaten to tear them apart. Janner and his siblings must learn the hard way that the love of a family is more important than anything else.

Full of characters rich in heart, smarts, and courage, North! Or Be Eaten is a tale children of all ages will cherish, families can listen to together, and readers' groups are sure to enjoy discussing for its many layers of meaning.

Fantastic Storytelling

The resilience of the Wingfeather family is once again put to the test. Betrayal, heartbreak, redemption. Who can you trust? Unexpected turns and twists make this story a "page turner".

Incredible narrator

Narrator is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. The story is pretty good. I’m not a huge wingfeather fan, but this book is actually pretty good.
Hopefully you find this helpful!

Andrew Peterson does it again!

Book two carries on the strong story that "on the edge of the dark sea of darkness" started. it's as fun and exciting as it is heartfelt and funny. Peterson's voice acting and storytelling is impressive in it's own right, and he knows just how to sell it because he wrote it!

Great books for young adults and old adults too.

It’s fantastic that the author also happens to be extraordinary narrator. An excellent voice actor, and it is clear that he knows the intents and feelings of his character is better than any other person. Loved the book in the series, Could not put it down until it was done!

Captivating

This story captivated my entire family. My six-year old was suddenly begging to listen to it INSTEAD of watching his afternoon TV shows. Miraculous. We talked about it at bedtime and at the breakfast table, and mourned when it was over!

Engaging story, read by the author, an excellent story teller.

I heard once that children’s literature should be enjoyable for adults too. This series is just as enjoyable to my children as it is to me. I found myself afraid for Janner and almost holding my breath several times while listening. This is such a good story for children and grownups alike.
