Publisher's summary

From New York Times best-selling author and radio host Mark R. Levin comes a searing plea for a return to America's most sacred values.

In Rediscovering Americanism, Mark R. Levin revisits the founders' warnings about the perils of overreach by the federal government and concludes that the men who created our country would be outraged and disappointed to see where we've ended up.

Levin returns to the impassioned question he's explored in each of his best-selling books: How do we save our exceptional country? Because our values are in such a precarious state, he argues that a restoration to the essential truths on which our country was founded has never been more urgent. Understanding these principles, in Levin's words, can "serve as the antidote to tyrannical regimes and governments". Rediscovering Americanism is not an exercise in nostalgia but an appeal to his fellow citizens to reverse course.

This essential book brings Levin's celebrated, sophisticated analysis to the troubling question of America's future and reminds us what we must restore for the sake of our children and our children's children.

Great outline of the totalitarian progressives

Gives a bunch of good authors to look up to understand the radical left and defend republican governance and capitalism.

Excellent though abstract

Though filled with the political philosophy of the Founding, it only begins to describe Americanism.

Better read.

I love the information contained, but hard to follow quoted material in an audio format.

Kids - civics

Very challenging, thought invoking, and consuming. This book needs to be taught in schools today. Information that older generations were exposed to, though likely not in depth, but my generation is deprived from. Must read.

Essential!:?@

Mark lays out the philosophical underpinnings of Americanism by going back to the original sources. He employs the same method to reveal the doctrinal foundations of progressivism, which seeks to obliterate the core principles set forth in our founding documents. Every American needs to be familiar with this material, especially if you value your own liberty!
