Story
Myrna, Leonie, and Chrissy meet every Thursday to sample fine cheeses, to reminisce about their former lives as professors, and lately, to muse about murder. Decades ago, a vicious cabal of male poets contrived—quite publicly and successfully—to undermine the writing career, confidence, and health of their dear friend Fern. Now, after Fern has taken a turn for the worse, her three old friends decide that it’s finally time to strike back—in secret, of course, since Fern is far too gentle to approve of a vendetta.

Hilarious, fascinating, and a roller coaster of dizzying, historical what-ifs, Napoleon's Hemorrhoids is a potpourri for serious historians and casual history buffs. In one of Phil Mason's many revelations, you'll learn that Communist jets were two minutes away from opening fire on American planes during the Cuban missile crisis, when they had to turn back as they were running out of fuel. You'll discover that before the Battle of Waterloo, Napoleon's painful hemorrhoids prevented him from mounting his horse to survey the battlefield.

Story
My name is Sawyer William Vincent - I know, it sounds like three first names - but most people know me as the Red Raptor. Well, technically no one knows I'm the Red Raptor, he's just a bit more popular. Wow. Enough about my name. Let me start over. I’m a superhero - the legendary Black Harrier’s partner. Not sidekick. I don't care if I'm still in high school. We work together to bring down the city's most dangerous villains. When the Black Harrier gets a mysterious note, then goes missing in New York City, things are pretty much left up to me. But don’t worry...I’ve got this.

Story
Once, Jackson Rook was a war hero. Raised from boyhood to pilot an exosuit mech, he’d fought gallantly for the rebellion against the Collectivists. But that was a long time ago, on a world very far away. Now, Jackson Rook is a criminal, a smuggler on board the Multipurpose Supply Vehicle Tar Heel. His latest mission: steal a top-of-the-line mech called the Citadel and deliver it to the far-flung planet Swindle, a world so hostile even the air will kill you. The client: a man known only as the Warlord.

If you like silly humor you'll like this
I thought it was pretty good just a bunch of made up craziness to kill 6 hours and there was actually some story to it but yeah I liked it

Mildly Amusing
The narration and acting were good. Reminded me of radio shows. I had to spend a credit to listen to it, though. I probably won't listen again, tbh.

Loved this oddball book
This is fun lighthearted junk food for you brain. What starts out as a miner border dispute turns into a battle for all of existence. Full of just about every cheesy sci-fi cliche out there.

A fun listen with laugh out loud moments.
I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did. A fun few hours with great, some time ridiculous moments, that you can't help but laugh loud enough for every body around you to hear.

Wow.. I am definitely going to buy their next book
This book is good. Voicing acting is also good, so are the sound effects.. It has strong charm.. I don't dare say. More about the story.. But it is nice and entertaining. There references everywhere spanning different movies and other things. Things a person would only get or understand if they saw them or remember the scenes from which they came. I encourage everyone to give it a try.. It's easy to spoil so I dont dare speak much about i.

lots of campy fun
full of tropes and cheesy satire , a good fun listen. I was particularly fond of how effective it was to have the narrative framed as a lecture series , it worked really well for this.

Entertaining enough
I enjoyed this. I was a bit disappointed by how derivative the story was in places, but I really liked the framing of the story as a history audio lecture and there were many clever parts. Give it a go.

Cheesy yet True
The world is somehow a collection of blatant knockoffs and sincere. Things connect in ways that seem organic, and while the story of Olivia is rather... normal. The presentation of the setting, and the depth in how the world works makes it still exciting. You dont need to roll your eyes at Chosen ones when you got a cosmic tuning fork.
