unusual bequest

Clarissa and Ian are both expected to attend her grandfather's reading of the will. They both expect to inherit her grandfather's castle.
I thought it was funny that the grandfather played matchmaker in his will by only allowing the both of them to inherit the Castle only if they were to get married. if they didn't it went to a charity.
Throughout the book there were se very funny and cute moments.

Though she didn’t know him well, she has good memories of the castle and is excited for her inheritance. What she doesn’t realize is she isn’t the only one who will benefit. Caretaker to her grandfather, Ian too inherits the castle. and yes, there is a stipulation! The two must marry! Will it work? Should they do it? Can they be friends, married on two continents? McKenna writes with a flirty flare, bouts of humor and steamy passion. Ian’s sister is a hoot and the visual descriptions of the country are incredible! This is a great escape with wonderful characters and a fantastic story!

The dual narration brings it all to life. Patricia Santomasso is perfect as Clarissa. She nails the accent for the Irish characters and gives us all the emotions Clarissa experiences. Sean Patrick Hopkins is new to me and I loved him! What a great Irish brogue! He is Ian!! These two are an amazing team and really enhanced the story!

Lucky Inheritance

A sweet story that puts two people you wouldn’t think would fit together perfectly. I loved the twist that brought them together as well as the inner struggles that they had to overcome. Narration is awesome. I loved the Irish accent.

Light read

This is a lighter genre than I normally read. I liked this read, has a nice HEA.

Inheriting a castle with a twist.

This is a very sweet romance. Strong chemistry. Beautiful Ireland. Well written. Entertaining read.
I listened to Audible version of this book. The narrators both did great jobs performing these characters. They both read male and female parts very well. I especially liked the male narrator. His voice is so sexy. They added to my enjoyment.

Romance at an Irish Castle

After 19 years Clarissa returns to Ireland to claim her grandfathers castle. I found her to be self centered and greedy so it was very hard to root for her. Ian is the handyman staying at the castle who was there for her grandfather when she was not. They store is interesting and good despite me not having any respect for Clarissa. Lucy is a breath of fresh air and probably saved the story for me. The dual narration was great

American City girl meets Irish country boy

Clarissa inherits her grandfather's castle in Ireland. BUT she didn't know that the handsome caretaker, Ian, inherited it also. One stipulation, they have to get married! This makes it for a fun story. City girl meets Irish country boy. entertaining with Beautiful descriptions of the Irish countryside.
Patricia Santomasso and Sean Patrick Hopkins did a wonderful narration. They both captured the Irish accents and gave each character their own voice and personality

Listening to this was like a breath of fresh air. It’s my first time listening to by James and it was light hearted and entertaining. The narration was on point!

cute and a little cheesy

If you're looking for an easy listen that isn't overloaded with intimate scenes, this is a good choice. We can see where the story is going the entire time but it was still a really cute listen. It has a fairy tale feel to it due to the castle. The characters could have been developed a little more but I was not disappointed by them.

The narrators did a great job!

Lucky Inheritance sets emotions ablaze ....

Hopkins and Satomasso are quite a pair. From heart palpitations to the ever present frustration, they refused to hold back on the chemistry. Their delivery is flameworthy. McKenna James dishes out the emotions with her ever present flair and as always I was easily hooked. Lucky Inheritance sets emotions ablaze with passion, heart and humor.
