E in parte ci riesce anche, se non fosse che quelle due stanze del Carretta ora a Rita farebbero parecchio comodo.
Le vorrebbe dare alla madre per il suo laboratorio di sartoria, e alleviarle così il peso della vita grama che fa: vedova e col pensiero di una figlia zoppa, Rita, appunto; una malmaritata, Lirina, che non sa come liberarsi del muratore avvinazzato che ha sposato; e poi Vincenza, bella ma senza prospettive, che seduta sul legno di una barchetta vede riflesso nello specchio del lago il destino che l'attende e al quale non sa sottrarsi. Su queste prime note si intona la sinfonia di voci e di vicende che hanno fatto di Bellano il paese-mondo in cui tutti possono ritrovare qualcosa di sé, e che nella Gita in barchetta interpreta una delle migliori partiture composte dalla penna leggera e tagliente di Andrea Vitali.
Per i lettori è l'irresistibile occasione di immergersi ancora una volta nell'intreccio sorprendente di storie che è la vita.
