Publisher's summary

Long live the king?

When Britt, a modern young woman, is pulled by a magical summons back through time she finds herself smack in the middle of the schemes of the surprisingly young and handsome wizard Merlin. Britt has no interest in the throne, and she definitely doesn't want to pretend she is the legendary King Arthur, but Merlin has some bad news.

The real Arthur has run off, and the legendary sword in the stone has chosen Britt to take his place.

But Britt quickly learns that life in ancient Britain isn't safe. The kingdom is fragmented with enemies on all sides, and there’s little chance for mercy if her real gender is exposed. Britt finds herself fighting for her life again and again on behalf of her people and the knights who serve her—and Merlin only adds to the chaos of her new life.

Focused on his goal to unite Britain, Merlin is oblivious of Britt’s growing feelings for him. Or so she thinks. But what future can they have in a world that only sees them as monarch and confidant?

Great series!

I absolutely loved listening to this! There was never a dull moment. The characters are fun and engaging. The romance was clean. The narrator did a really great job with all the different voices. K.M.Shea is such a great storyteller. I hope to see more of her stuff soon on Audible

Amazing story!

I love this story! It has been a favorite of mine since K.M. Shea wrote it a few years ago. I was so happy to see come out as an audiobook and jumped on the chance to listen to it. The narrator did an amazing job giving each character a unique voice, especially considering how many different characters there are throughout the series. It was so much fun listening to it while I worked around the house, and it made my menial chores so much more enjoyable. My house hasn't been this clean in a long time as I looked for more to do so I could continue to listen. If you loved reading the series, you'll love this. If you haven't read the series, get it anyway, because you'll love it!

!

I really enjoyed the story and the performance. Very well done. I was a bit hesitant at first, as I don't generally like time travel. However, once I got past the first 2 chapters I realised that it's definitely not sci-fi but a very simple way to get a relatable, modern character into the time of King Arthur.

Perfect!

A feminine heroin without any male bashing. A sweet twist on an old tale. A plot that dealt with morals and values without being preachy. A love story that was sweet and wholesome. A plot that twisted and turned and left the listener anxious for more. Plot development that allowed the listener to feel connected to the characters and to miss them dreadfully when the story ended….. perfect!

Adorable

Occasionally felt a little silly—especially early on—but I loved it. Engaging, adventurous and sweet. Definitely worth it.

Weekend Binge

I purchased this because 1. I love everything from K.M. Shea (so far) 2. it was a great deal and 3. because I had a hard time getting into the first book when I picked it up some time ago.
And let me tell you I was not disappointed. The narration is delightful and done well. The story and characters are fun and engaging, and the ending had me in tears. Shea has such a wonderful gift for telling stories without a lot of extra gunk, tying everything together neatly, and not just grabbing your attention but also your heart, I am a sucker for "Cinderella" endings and she has not left me hanging yet.
It is safe to play around children because there is no foul language or sensual scenes. There is violence but not gorey or overdone.

Arthur and Her Knights is an adventurous ride through modern and Medieval times. These books are full of loveable characters, lessons in friendship, and courage. Brit (Arthur) grows as a character by developing the courage to make the best of a crazy turn of events, the courage to grow, the courage to face fears, the courage to love, and the courage to forgive.

Pleasant Surprise!

I was pleasantly surprised how much I loved this book. It was a different take on King Arthur and from the start this book caught my attention and I couldn't put it down. The narrator did a really good job, even though I didn't think I would like a man narrating I ended up not minding at all. I enjoyed all of the books in this series and I do recommend the books.
