This is a book for working women and mothers who are ready to release the culturally inherited belief that their worth is equal to their productivity, and instead create a personal and professional life that's based on presence, meaning, and joy. As opposed to focusing on "fitting it all in", time management, and leaning in, as so many books geared at ambitious women do, this book embraces the notion that through doing less women can have - and be - more.

Publisher's summary
The best-selling author of WomanCode presents a biohacking program for women, teaching them how to use their natural 28-day cycle to optimize their time, diet, fitness, work, and relationships.
Women have a important biological rhythm they experience every month that affects productivity, weight, sex drive, energy, and mood. It is essential to be aware of and take care of this rhythm, but it has been widely ignored by medical, nutrition, and fitness research. So as women, we diet, we deprive, and we cram as much as possible into our day, striving to accomplish impossible to-do lists, and scheduling our lives based on a 24-hour time cycle, ignoring the intuitive time our bodies naturally keep: a monthly cycle with four hormonal phases that offer incredible advantages.
In the FLO presents a revolutionary four-week solution to manage your energy and time according to your female biochemistry. By working with each phase, you'll support your hormones, unlock peak creativity and performance, and avoid burnout. You'll know exactly when to eat certain foods, clear your social calendar, or ask for a raise - and you'll have the tools to do so, including:
- Meal plans and recipes for each phase
- Charts for phase-specific exercises, work tasks, and relationship activities
- A daily planner that helps you align with your strengths in each phase
- A biohacking toolkit for navigating period problems and hormonal birth control
Alisa Vitti, functional nutrition and women's hormone expert, best-selling author of WomanCode, and founder of modern hormone healthcare company FLOliving.com, has been teaching women how to reclaim their rhythm for nearly 20 years and has witnessed the incredible rewards it offers - including losing stubborn weight, regaining energy, clearing skin, and minimizing PMS. By getting In the FLO, you'll get more done with less effort, you'll feel better consistently throughout the month, and you'll enjoy the freedom that comes with living on your own time.

It's not you; it's your schedule. Does it sound like magic? It's not. We've all heard of circadian rhythms - those biological processes that give us jet lag and make us night owls or early birds. But few of us know just how profoundly these diurnal patterns affect our overall health. Bad habits - like skipping meals, squeezing in workouts, working late into the night and then trying to catch up on sleep during the weekend - disrupt our natural cycles. A growing body of research on chronobiology reveals just how sensitive the human body is to these rhythms all the way down to the genetic level.

As opposed to focusing on "fitting it all in", time management, and leaning in, as so many books geared at ambitious women do, this book embraces the notion that through doing less women can have - and be - more.

Interesting topic with flaws
I find the topic of this book interesting and the reading by Alisa is well done. The book however feels like a big ad for her clinic. There are some bread crumbs and tidbits of real information but you don’t really feel like you have the tools to do it for yourself at the end. The book intentionally leaves you hungry for information so you pay her more money.

Eye opening
Eye opening book. Really changes your mindset about female potential and nature. I would have liked more practical advice, but I guess you can find that in her App, which is advertised throughout the book. Very interesting read in any case.

So good I bought it for my sister.
This book has completely changed my mindset about my hormones, mood swings, and body image. I now understand that my monthly cycle is a complex, beautiful (yet still sometimes annoying) process. I am planning to get my hormonal IUD out soon and start properly syncing with my cycle to improve my moods, energy, and productivity.

This should be taught in school!
Everyone should know this information; even male bodied people. I especially loved the section about how female reproduction should have been taught in schools. Read this book now!

Read this!!!!
This gave me goosebumps the entire time… it’s exciting to have this vital information out there now. So grateful that Alissa switched her career to study this AND SHARE … this was incredible to listen to from a knowledge base and also that she actually read it and you could hear her smile when things she got really excited about reading. I LOVED THIS BOOK!! Her reading it was just a cherry on top… sometimes the voices who read the books make me cringe… hers was awesome because she had such intensity and fever reading about this life changing information. Only with I would have known it sooner 💗 thank you from the bottom of my heart🙏
