Another Age-Gap Classic

Gloria is a widower with two college aged daughters and quite content with her life. At her friend Mary’s retirement party she is seated at the singles table next to Mary’s recently divorced daughter Ash Cooper. When Ashley ages her to dance she feels a tingling that lights her up. Falling in love was never in their sights but the heart wants what the heart wants. Erotic romance. Recommend.

Age gap romance with low angst

Another lovely age-gap story by Harper Bliss. Older MC is an acquaintance of the younger MC’s parents, & love the dynamics it created for the storyline. Had a hard time getting used to the narrator at first, since she didn’t distinguish the female voices. Often was not sure who was speaking. Loved how book ends & guarantee you’ll have one of Celine Dion’s song in your head for days!

Beautiful Story ❤️

I have read this book quite a few times - my favorite Harper Bliss book. It's the first age-gap romance that I've read, and it really made me a huge fan of the trope. It truly captured the unexpectedness of it, considering how Ash and Gloria know each other. Though they tried to rationalize what was happening between them, it all of a sudden became undeniable, and it was beautiful how they worked it all out. I loved it!

As I've menyioned I have already read this multiple times, but I'm so glad I listened to the audiobook! It really added another dimension to the entertainment of the story!!

Just the “right cup of tea “☺️

How many times can I read a “ Bliss novel” and find new ways of expressing my appreciation for her talents.
This one was a little challenging at first because it was delivered a very strong and proper English style if speaking.
I have listened to Carmen Rose before and while her delivery is spot on, some might feel it a bit challenging. However, given the setting sand the characters, it became a wonderful listening experience.
I was wonder how I would have reacted, had I read the book first before listening to it.
I want to also compliment the author for her brave visit to a venue, clad, and culture that might be foreign to her usual readers.
I will wait a while before listening again, because I am sure that some of the humorous asides went over my head.
Thank you for expanding our listening experience, and introducing us to two women who are not young and have experienced multiple setbacks. And, also their foray into dealing with family and friends as they work their way into having their “ coming out” as a couple viewed by an unsuspecting assortment of friends and family members.
Bravo Harper once again. 👍♥️🎉

At times brilliant

The story is great and it might be perfectly performed...but for me it was a tad too dry in the narration parts of the story. The dialog was well done, but the narration was stiff and had me wondering if I would finish the book. I did and I'm grateful.

I'm emotional. Why do you have to scare me?

I just knew that something would happen to break them up. Thank you. Harper Bliss.

Entertaining

Older straight widow and young hip lesbian fall in love. Cute dialog back and forth. Narration was very good but narrator tended to ‘sing-song’ throughout but I don’t think it detracted from the story. I found this story very entertaining and have listened to it more than once. One of my favorites. Highly recommend.

Well done

I thought I would have a slight adjustment period to the accent, but I honestly don’t know what I could have been thinking. I’m always a fan of stories about age gaps as I’m someone that has always dated much older than myself.
