Publisher's summary

James Weller leads a quiet life with news reporter wife Marla in their quaint St. Louis suburb. One morning, as he prepares to leave for his much-anticipated week-long retreat, a phantom explosion causes a massive blackout through the city. But the power grid isn’t the only thing disabled. Electronic devices and vehicles inexplicably stop working. A series of coordinated bombs then detonate throughout the city, causing mass panic and hysteria in its wake.

James must find his wife and get her out of the city before it’s too late. His dangerous mission is only the beginning as evacuation orders soon follow for the city and its surrounding areas. When all hope seems lost, James finds a friend with a working vehicle and a cabin far from the city and in relative safety. Can they get there in time, or will James remain trapped within his city descent? Find out how the story begins in the fearless, exciting prequel of a real-world disaster come alive.

Well done

Explosion that leaves a man and the city in an upheavel, of what to do. To find love ones and to get out of the town. The tension was good in the audio and narration to enjoy. Goiven audio for my voluntary review

horrible narrator

I couldn't even begin to get into the book because of the narrator she sounded like she was from Minnesota ay. that kind of accent doesn't go well in a post-apocalyptic story
