Publisher's summary

Twin sisters, Mercy and Hunter are witches, direct descendants of the Goode family, the founders of their town. After the murder of their mother at the hands of a foul demon, they have become the protectors of the Gates to different underworlds–ancient portals between their world and realms where mythology rules and the darkest of creatures exist.

Mercy and Khenti are trapped in the Ancient Egyptian Underworld and need Hunter’s help to escape. But while Hunter searches for a way to save them, other evil threatens Goodeville. Amphitrite is still looming–and she wants vengeance against Hunter. With the gates rapidly weakening, Amphitrite lures out a deadly creature and sets it free on the residents of Goodeville. It will take everything in Mercy and Hunter’s power to stop the goddess and seal the gates once and for all.

Magickal

I loved the Sisters of Salem trilogy! Fresh way of telling a witchy story. Kinda reminds me of Witches of Eastwick in all the best ways but for younger readers maybe? I'm 35 yrs old myself though and I thoroughly enjoyed it

I’m so sad it’s over!

I cried but I couldn’t be happier with the way everything was wrapped up. I’m so glad there was a “happy” ending that answered all questions. I cried but laughed. I love the twins!!

amazing finish

The reader was terrific. Great voice. Well read.
The story was a great way to close this trilogy. I love that there is a way to extend the characters into another series of the authors want to.
Really enjoy the entire series.

Lack of Explanation, or story

the fact that mercy died is beyond me, or how there was no explanation as to what happened when she , khenti and xena went to the Egyptian underworld. I'm guessing they resolved the Hex issue but even still though. I wanted to read Mercy's final moments. Also, I love the twins but they were written as very whiney, they only really matured until the very end. also, what happened to Kirk? What happened with Khenti? what happened to the snake woman as well? did she reunite with her baby? there's a lot of untold story that could have been dived deeper into. the authors had a good story idea but some pieces were beyond confusing. especially with the whole Chosen One situation, it came out of nowhere. also, these books should be middle school level reading but there's a bj scene in the first book which is not a good thing for young readers.
