great second installment!

This is just as good as the first if not better to be honest. There is enough going on that you can easily get lost in this story without feeling overwhelmed or to all over the place.

Expands the world and it's story

Gryff continues his machinations to retake the planet from the horde, as the world is expanded and the players revealed. The field of battle gets expanded on in a way that makes the coming story interesting for more volumes to come. The narration is great and both Daniel and Rebecca have a great range of voices that they use to bring the world to life.

The world-building and the lore that is revealed are the strongest new additions to this book. Gryff seemingly starts to fray as the book goes on and that causes him to make rash decisions in both battles and on the homefront. This is where the weaker parts of the book are for me. Gryff seemingly has some crazy turns that kind of just get swept away and not addressed very heavily or lead up to that well. They aren't taking up huge parts of the book but could either use better lead-ins or better social consequences afterward. I look forward to seeing how everything unfolds and maybe how Gryff turns out in the end. Maybe he isn't going to be as benevolent as first thought.

Shocking

At first I figured this would just be a easy to relax and enjoy kinda thing. I was wrong in a good way. The story pulls you in and the narrators do amazing work with the moments of humor that will actually make you laugh. I was pleasantly shocked by this series and can’t wait for 3rd book

Good

Surprisingly good I’m looking forward to the next installment of the book but still I think it’s going a bit fast timeline wise any how. narrators are awesome if you have been on the fence try it out .

Fun Story

Great story and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Only thing that I took issue with was how knowledgeable the MC was when his background was that of an Olympic athlete (ie. knowing battle tactics, trading, livestock).

I feel there was a lot of areas the MC could have worked towards and evolved rather than already being well versed.

Exceptional story. I love this book!

I can always tell when I really love a book.
That's well I can't stop reading until I reach the end.
Then I want the story to keep on going.
This is one of those stories.

Captivating!

Great story and narration!

Gryff and the gang are back, and things are heating up! Continuing to build up his town and fighting back the Hoard, there are things that will take him away from home and the people that he loves. His mages and griffins ne reagents to cast their spells, and the entire Human Empire is running short due to fear of the hoard. They can be harvested outside of the safe zones, but they will have to travel far from home to get the ones that they need. How will our rambunctious hero cope?

Daniel and Rebecca do a wonderful job with the narration!

This was a fun addition to the series! If you liked the first one then you will love this one as well!

A rapidly developing plot with interesting characters. The narration is excellent and moves the story along quite well!

Good as the 1st--still one of my favorite series!

Loved the books and am really pleased with Dan and Rebecca duo narration. Lots of fun. Looking forward to hearing the rest of the series!
