We’ve got to tell somebody. YES! We’ve got to tell somebody that Jesus Christ is born. Imagine a church body filled with believers actively telling others about the birth, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. We sing that favorite old spiritual, “Go Tell It On The Mountain,” each year at Christmas, but do we tell anyone?
“GO TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN” is a fresh look at The Great Commission given by Jesus. We can’t disciple those who are not saved. Charles Morris designed this as a practical guide to reigniting passion for evangelizing the lost by God’s people as they share Jesus Christ to a lost world. We are to be ready to make a defense for the faith within us.
The authority of our Lord Jesus Christ stands behind The Great Commission. We, as believers, do not have to lose God-centeredness in our church services to reach people for Christ. The Great Commission given by Jesus has been the guiding principle for reaching the lost throughout the 2,000 years of church history. It is based on four principles found in Psalms 126 and Matthew 28. We go & weep and sow & reap. “GO TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN” is an indispensable text for any pastor or believer who cares about the Christian mission of reaching the lost and training them to maturity.
