Not what I expected

I am leaving the denomination I’ve been in all my life, and will be joining with the Church of the Nazarene. I like to listen to books and found this one in hopes of learning a little more about them. I expected to hear about their history, polity, etc. Instead, it was keyed much more on the Bible, and what they value, with some testimonies mixed in. It was refreshing and where this series of books needed to start. As far as something I didn’t care for, they stated and restated a few too many times how they are growing and are a global church. That got a bit old. Lots of things are growing and getting bigger in our world. Doesn’t make them good. Overall I really appreciated the book and intend to listen to it again. Looking forward to the next one.
